Step1. New words

      Like; hair; curly; straight; tall; medium; height; thin; heavy; build; always;…….

Step2. lead-in

     1.Some pictures are shown on ppt, ask Ss to think about how to describe people’s hair.

     2. “What does he look like?”  (the title)

Ask: What is the meaning of “look like”？

Ss:  看起来像。

A: Today we will learn some news phrases about how to describe people’s looks.

eg. Long hair; straight hair; curly hair; blonde hair; medium height; tall; short; medium build.

3. The right orders 

    1).漂亮的+长短+形状+颜色

    eg. 她有一头短的金黄色的卷发。

     She has short, curly, blonde hair. 

           (长短)（形状）（颜色）

2). Ss practice like this. (PPT)

3). Words about describing people’s build.

eg. tall, short, heavy, thin, medium height….

  Pictures are shown on ppt to help students to known how to describe a person’s build.

1a. Read the the ten phrases first, then choose some students to read.

Ask Ss to match the phrases with the people in the picture. (4 mins)

Check answers.

1b. Listen and fill in the blanks in the picture above.

1c. Pairwork. （8mins）

  Ss show themselves to the class.
