I enjoy reading different kinds of books, and my favorite book is Harry Potter. I think it is the funniest book I have ever read.

I like to read it because it is full of fantastic imagination(想象) and I am greatly interested in it. The main character Harry Potter is very brave and confident（有自信心的） to fight against the bad guys. He loves his friends deeply and he is always ready to protect them.

I have learned a lot from him. If I have the chance to learn some magic, I’d love to be a hero like Harry Potter.

My favorite writer is Cao Wenxuan. He’s a Chinese children’s fiction writer. His books are also popular with teenagers. He won the 2016 Hans Christian Andersen Award. He is the first Chinese to win the prize.

I always lose myself in Cao Wenxuan’s books. Of all his books, I like The Straw House best. It is about some children growing up in the countryside and how they solve their problems in life. It reminds us that the best things in life are free--love, kindness and the beauty of nature. The book is so great that someone made it into a movie. It’s also very popular.

I also like writing. I hope to be a great writer like him.

My favorite singer is Jay Chou (Zhou Jielun ).He has a beautiful voice. When he was a child he liked singing very much. It took him a few years to become famous. 

While Jay wrote songs for other pop singers, he also learned recording and sound mixing(录音和混音).His first album was released in 2000, and since then, he released about one album per year. His albums have made great success in many countries, and his songs are popular with listeners of all ages.

I like his music very much. It is pop music, but it has a mix of other kinds of music, such as R&B, rap, and rock. Many of his songs are about the world we live in. One of my favorite songs is “Dao Xiang”, which encourages people not to give up even when life is difficult. 

I feel happy and full of energy when I listen to his songs. And I am really proud of him.I have introduced my best friend to Jay’s songs, and she enjoys the songs, too!

I like pop music best. There are several reasons for it. First of all, pop music is simple to understand. It suits young people at my age. Secondly, it makes me feel relaxed. When I feel tired, I often listen to pop music. So I like it best.

Each of us has a dream. Some dreams are big and others are small. Anyway, we should take action to make it come true.
