With the rapid development of this are, technique changed our life completely. Ten years ago, the term internet was practically anonymous to most of the people. While nowadays internet has become the most useful tool than anything else. However, there’s an old saying goes, ‘Every coin has two sides.’ When we are enjoying the convenience high-tech brings, we should pay attention to the disadvantages as well.
Speaking to communication, we are all social animals. We absolutely love internet because it established a global friendship. So many ways are offered to communicate efficiently, for instance, MSN, Skype and etc. And as we all know, ‘all work no play makes Jack a dull boy’, the other reason we crazy on internet is its extraordinary entertainment, we simply live in a virtual reality. By the way, service is our favorite part, online banking makes transactions easy and convenient, job searching saves the time for employee and employer both. In all, we can enjoy the service which is not available off-line easily.
On the contrary, we as well take the risks of surfing the internet. Firstly, the theft of personal information becomes a global issue. When we surf the internet, we are facing the grave danger as your personal information as name, address, credit passwords and stuff are extremely easy to be accessed by hackers. Secondly, spamming refers to sending unwanted e-mils to damage your computer. Thirdly, virus threat is one of the most frightening issue we face. Virus is a program with disrupts the normal function of your computer system and cause your considerable headache. As long as your computer gets infected, you can never get rid of it. Last but not least, pornography is the biggest threat since internet came up. It’s harmful to children physically and psychologically because most of them are too young to understand the importance of resisting temptation.
Once again, ‘every coin has two sides’. Even the sun has its shadow. We need to know how to achieve the equilibrium and I believe this is the trick to everything. I’d like to end this essay with a quotation, which is my favorite, ‘My house has many rooms, I occupied but a few, the rest goes unvisited.’
