It arose a heat discussion on whether term-time holidays should be banned between experts and parents in UK. Most experts think the government should ban it considering of children's education. In my opinion, if parents' aim is to save money so that they take their children out of school, I personally don't think it's a wisdom action. I prefer to support that term-time holidays should be banned.
Firstly, term-time holidays may influence children's study. On one hand, it take children's school time to have a holiday, which, as a result, children miss their classes for several days and they can't finish their homework at time. Accordingly, they can't keep pace with their classmates who listen carefully in the classroom. On the other hand, after they spend their holidays and return school, children couldn't keep calm to study out of hand because they may be tired and absent-minded after their exciting holidays.
Secondly, parents will spend more money on children's education. For example, during their holidays, math teacher may teach students basic math theory, which is very important for students to study fallowing math. Unfortunately, children who are on vacation are absent from school. In order to acquire knowledge again, parents have to pay high prices for family tuition at cost of being absent from school and children have to have the same courses as their school teachers'.
To sum up, term-time holidays should be banned. As parents, they should pay more attention to children's education but not money. Or they can work harder to earn much money so that they can afford to spend a holiday at summer vacation.
