Abstract

Being the means of communications, language functions not only as a carrier of social life, but also an important part of social changes. It can reflect the emergence of new things and the disappearance of old things. As the most dynamic section in a language, lexicons are very sensitive to social changes. The occurrence of neologies is a significant embodiment of the changing secieties, and also an important language phenomenon. In lexicons, neology which appears and develops with news reports is a kind of cultural phenomenon other than a language event. Containing specific cultural connotations, neology has become a primary part of international cultural communications. With the increasing amount of  intercultural communications, the translation and its study of news neologies has caused great attentions from a number of experts concerned. 

Starting from the features of neologies, this thesis is to introduce systematically the reasons and backgrounds for the emergence of news neologies, based on the account of the definition and classification of news neologies. It is to explain the guide principle and translation skills to news neologies in the angle of intercultural communications. By ference to the theories of domesticating and foreignizing, translation of news neologies is being classified and some detailed translation methods are put forward. At last, this thesis points out that translation of news neologies is not a simple bilingual translation, but the passing of cultures. In order to do translation better, a translator should pay attention to the accumulation of knowledge of various aspects as well as learning a language well.

跨文化交际中新闻新词的翻译

摘要

语言作为一种交流工具，不仅是社会文化生活的载体，也是社会变化的重要内容，它能反映社会新旧事物的产生与消亡。词汇是语言中最活跃的部分，对社会的变化非常的及时敏感。新词的产生正是词汇反映社会变化的重要表现，它的存在和发展是一种不可忽视的语言现象。在词汇领域，伴随新闻产生的新词，不仅作为语言现象本身，而且作为一种文化现象，往往包含了特定的文化内涵，是各国文化交流的重要组成部分。在越来越多的跨文化交际背景下，新闻新词的翻译研究已经引起了社会和有关专家的高度关注和重视。

本文从新词的特征出发，系统阐述了新闻新词产生的原因背景，对新闻新词进行定义与分类。本文从跨文化交际的角度阐述了新闻新词翻译中应遵循的基本原则，运用归化与异化理论，对新闻新词翻译进行了适当的分类，提出了具体的翻译办法。最后，本文指出新闻新词的翻译不是简单的双语转化，而是文化的传递。 翻译人员应当在学好语言的同时，更加注重各方面知识的积累，了解各国历史文化等，以期更好地从事翻译工作。
