初中英语演讲稿——my dream

Dear students, respectful teachers and Honorable Judges,

Good afternoon! First of all,  thank the teacher for giving me this chance to talk about my future dream job here. 　　

Are you often asked by others “what would you like to be when you grow up?” I found it very hard to give a certain reply. Because choosing a job is one of the most important choices in everyone’s life. And you know everyone has a dream job. When I was young, I want to be a doctor, so that I can help sick people. When I start school, I want to be a nice teacher who do not punish and criticize their students. And I would never give my students homework. And sometimes, I wonder if I can be a scientist, so that I can invent a rocket and fly to the outer space. Many of these answers are perhaps very childish and ridiculous. But I never think they are far away. I know clearly that those high buildings are based on solid foundation. So I decide to develop my own talents, skills and abilities from now on. As long as I am a capable man, I can be qualified to do my dream job.

Here are what I am going to do in the future in order to make my dream come true.

First, I think it’s necessary for a student to study hard at school. As we all know, knowledge is power. I must accumulate rich knowledge when I am at school. Also, if I work hard, I can get good grades and get into good university and get a better degree after graduation. All those will help me get my dream job. 

Second, I would like to take part in all kinds of activities. Because I know clearly that I can’t learn everything from the textbook. Rich experience can let me make right choice in my work. At the same time, communication is very important, through all kinds of school activities I can practice how to communicate with others. Communication determines whether I can get along with my future boss and colleagues.  

Last but not least, practice makes perfect, persistence makes success. So I will try to do my best and try to bring out the best in myself day after day and year after year. I would never give up until I succeed in the end.
