形容词练习题

1. 大多数形容词有三个等级.

a.原级即原形,如big(大).

b.比较级表示 " 较… " 或 " 更…一些 " 的意思.如: bigger(更大)

c.最高级表示 "最…"的意思.如: biggest(最大)

2. 形容词的比较级的用法

a. 两种人或事物进行比较时, 用 "形容词比较级 + than".

The sun is bigger than the moon.

This cake is more delicious than that one.

形容词比较级可用much, far，still, a little, even等词来修饰.

3.形容词最高级的用法

表示三者或三者以上 ( 人或事物 ) 的比较, 用最高级.最高级前面一般加定冠词the,后面可带短语来说明比较的范围.如: Mary is the youngest of the three girls.

①一般单音节形容词词未尾

比较级加-er 最高级加-est如tall —taller —tallest Short—shorter—shortest

long—longer—longgest

②以不发音的e结尾的单音词和少数以- le结尾的双音节词比较级加r 最高级加stfine—finer—finest nice —nicer —nicest gentle—gentler—gentlest

③“以辅音字母+y”结尾的双音节词，改y为i，再加er，est busy—busier—busiest happy—happier—happiest early—earlier—earliest heavy—heavier —heaviest cloudy—cloudier—cloudiest easy—easier—easiest

④以一个辅音字母结尾的闭音节单音节词，双写结尾的辅音字母，比较级再加er最高级加est

big—bigger—biggest thin —thinner—thinnest hot—hotter—hottest fat —fatter—fattest

⑤多音节和部分双音节词比较级在前面加more ，最高级在前面加most. beautiful—more beautiful—most beautiful

expensive—more expensive—most expensive

三．比较级、最高级的句子基本结构：

（即主语） + 动词be (am , is , are ) + 形容词比较级 + than（比）+对比成分。 ,如：

I’m taller and heavier than you. （我比你更高和更重。）An elephant is bigger than a tiger. （一只大象比一只老虎更大。）

什么+动词be (am , is , are ) +the+形容词最高级+名词+表示范围的短语或从句。

She is the best student in her class.

她是班上最好的学生。

Shanghai is one of the biggest cities in China.

上海是中国最大城市之一。

This is the biggest apple I have ever saw.

这是我见到的最大的苹果。

Tom is the tallest boy in his basketball team.

汤姆是他们篮球队中个子最高的孩子。

注意☆

比较的两者应该是互相对应的可比较的东西。

典型错误：My hair is longer than you.

（我的头发比你更长。）

应该改为：My hair is longer than yours.

或My hair is longer than your hair.

附：如果比较的两者是一样的时候，我们会用 as…as…这个词组，它的用法是：

意思是什么和什么一样……。如：

I’m as tall as you.（我和你一样高。）
