Step1  Organization

T: Good afternoon, boys and girls.

S: Good afternoon, teacher.

T: How is the weather today?

S: It's good./Fine.

T:Yes.I think it's a good weather today.It's not too hot and not too cold. I think it's fit to travel. Do you agree with me?

S:Yes.

Step2  Lead-in  

T: Just as you see. This term will pass soon and the next winter holiday is coming. Where do you want to go?

S: I want to 哈尔滨.

T: Why?

S: Because I want to go skating.

T: Do you like skating?

S: Yes,I like it.

T: Good. Do you know where I want to go? Can you guess?

S: My hometown.

T: Oh? Where is your hometown?

S:长春

T: It's a good place. Maybe I will go. But I want to go London. Because the Olympic Games will be held in London next year.

S: I want to go, too.

T: Okay! You can go with me. But today we are going to learn new lesson. Unit7 Where would you like to visit? Section A

Step3  Presentation

T: Look at some pictures. These pictures are famous places. Do you want go there?

S: Yes.

T:Look at this picture.马尔代夫 How do you feel? 

S: 太美啦！

T: Yes, this place is very beautiful. Beautiful means 漂亮的，美丽的。我们可以用它来形容人或者景色。Are you clear? Please read after me. Okay, how about this one. Hawaii beach.

S: 对我来说是个很放松的旅游地方。

T: Yes, this place make you relaxing. Relaxing means 放松的，休闲的。  Please read after me. Okay, how about this one. 

S: 西安的兵马俑，在历史书上见过，很想去看看。

T: Yes, this place is very educational for us. Do you know the meaning of education?

S: 教育

T: How about educational? It is an adjective.

S: 有教育意义的。

T: Yes, you are so clever. Educational means 有教育意义的。Please read after me.  Okay, next. If you go to there tomorrow, how do you feel?

S: 我会整晚兴奋的睡不着。

T: Me too, this place is very exciting. Exciting means 令人兴奋的，愉快的。Please read after me. Okay, how about this one. 的迪斯尼乐园。 

S: 会很有意思的。

T: Yes, it is very interesting place. Right? Interesting means 有意思的，有趣的。Please read after me. Okay the last one. How do you feel? 

S: 很刺激啊！

T: Yes, you will feel thrilling in this place. Thrilling means 令人刺激的，令人激动的。Please read after me. Now, pay attention the pronunciation of "th". It pronounces /θ/. 把你的舌头放在上齿和下齿的中间来发这个音。Thrilling，thrilling. Okay, Can you find out from these words in common? 

S: Thrilling, exciting, relaxing and interesting.都有ing

T: Yes, you are so clever. -ing 是形容词的后缀。像beautiful 中的-ful 和 educational 中的-al 也是形容词的后缀。For example, tiring 疲惫的，累人的。Peaceful 和平的，平静的。这些都是形容词。 Are you clear?

S: Yes.

T: Okay, good. If you are in Hawaii now, what do you want to do?

S1: I want to play beach volleyball.

S2: I want to go swimming.  

T: Do you know what I want to do in Hawaii?

S: You want to ... ...

T: I want to surf in the sea. I would like to surf in the sea. What would you like to do?

S: I would like to play games with my friends.

T: It sounds great. Where would you like to go on vacation?

T: Can you describe your vacation? Do you know the meaning of vacation?

S: No.

T: Vacation means “假期，休假”。Holiday and vacation are similar words.Do you know the different between holiday and vacation?

S: No.

T: Holiday n. 一般表示时间可长可短的假期，为可数名词。与季节连用时多用复数；与数词连用时只表示次数，不表示日期。

For example, We have had three holidays since the beginning of the year.

Vacation n. 一般表示比较长的假期，多指大学的假期、法庭的休庭期。至于寒、暑假，英国人喜欢用：summer/winter holidays，美国人喜欢用：summer/winter vacation，区别不大。

For example, We spent our summer holidays/vacation in the countryside this year. Are you clear?

S: Yes.

T: Now, who can answer my question. How was your vacation？

S: It's very exciting and relaxing.

Step4  Practice

T: Okay! We do some exercises. I will divide into 4 groups. Group1,group2,group3 and group4. I give you some pictures and need you choose some adjectives to describe these pictures. I will give you three minutes to make a conversation. Are you clear?

S: Yes.

T: Okay! Time is up. Who can try?  You please. 

S1: Where would you like to visit, Windy?

S2: I'd like to see the educational sites in Xi'an.

S1: Wow, that would be very exciting.  

S2: What about you?

S1: I'd love to go shopping in Hong Kong. You know it's a fashionable city.

S2: That's sound great. I like Hong Kong too.

T: That's a very good presentation, yes or no?

S: Yes.

T: So much stop here. In the class, we learn some adjectives and how to describe vacations. We also learn the sentence pattern--"were would you like to visit?" The answer is "I'd like to... /I'd love to..." I need you to remember these.

Step5  Homework

T: Today's homework is write out two similar conversations about places you would like to visit. Use adjectives from the book or other adjectives you know.
