I graduated from China Youth University for Political Sciences and attained a bachelor degree there last year. My major is Social Work, a significant discipline in the school.

In my spare time, I am really keen on reading books, especially those concerning history, philosophy, politics and law. Coz I guess when I read a good book, I communicate with a great mind. My favorite sport is playing basketball, I am a fan of Kobe Bryant, he is really cool, I admire him not just for his success, but also for his spirit, you know his sportsmanship.

Reasons for taking postgraduate exams/choosing comparative law 

First of all, I love the feeling in the university; it is full of youthful spirit. And I have been deeply impressed by the academic atmosphere when I came here last winter. 

Next, I am fond of this major, because the importance of comparative law has increased enormously in the present age of internationalism, economic globalization and democratization. Furthermore, comparative law helps in broadening horizons for law reformers and legislators around the world.

Finally, I would like to talk about a very practical problem. It is my dream to be a teacher in the university, coz I really like campus life. In order to realize my dream, I chose comparative law as my major, and I am more than willing to devote myself to this field throughout my life. If possible, I will go on with my study for a doctorate.

My university is China Youth University for Political Sciences which has a great reputation for it first established the discipline of Social Work in China. Fortunately, I chose Social Work as my major 5 years ago and attained a bachelor degree last year. Social work is a professional and academic discipline that seeks to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of people who have been socially excluded or who are experiencing crisis, and provides support to enable them to help themselves.

In my school, professors are really thoughtful and considerate; they encourage us to explore areas that are beyond academic boundaries. Furthermore, my university provides us a wide variety of activities after school, such as the debate club, the school newspaper, the basketball team, and it’s like.

What impressed me most in my university is the new-built library which offers us a wealth of books. Coz I really love reading and enjoy the quiet atmosphere there. And the canteen is pretty good too, you know, coz it serves great food.

我的家乡

My hometown is an inland city best-known for the gentle, rolling hills and a river surrounding it. The sky is crystal-clear and the water is green, people enjoy a great climate all year around there. What is more, the city is famous for its architectural heritage, which makes it like a magnet for the tourists.

Local residents are pretty laid-back, simple and hospitable; they warmly welcome all people visited there, regardless of background, and make them feel a real sense of home.

My favorite season in my hometown is summer, coz I can go swimming in the river.

我的家庭

I grew up in a very close, loving family, and I still keep in touch with my family regularly.

My family consists of my father, sister and me. My father is a farmer, he is very diligent and kind, and he works hard on our farm every day for supporting my family. My sister is a worker in a big textile factory eight miles from my hometown. They both are pretty lenient with me, coz I am the youngest in my family.

My folks can always provide support to me when I need it from them. For instance, they totally agree with my decision of going further education for a master degree, and pay the tuition and other costs for me. Above all, their love, attention and care make me feel warm and happy.
