Richard: The weather in Shanghai is good…sunny. There all kinds of flowers and green grasses, like a colorful carpet.

Marilyn: Yep. What a beautiful day. The chatter of birds in the trees, and doves are running around on the ground.

Richard: China’s environment is very good and the air is fresh. 

Marilyn: yes, I think so. 

Richard: Taxi! (Richard shouts, and they get in the taxi.) Last time we came to China was for the 2008 Olympics. It’s been almost two years.(间隔将近两年时间) China has changed greatly.

Marilyn: Yes! I can’t wait to get to the Expo. Oh, here we are! Let’s get out.

Richard: OK! 

Marilyn: There are a lot of people and it looks great.

Richard: Look! There is our old friend, Yaoming. He also came, Let’s go and say hello.

Marilyn: OK, let’s go.

Richard :Hello, Yao! 

Yaoming: (they hug)Nice to meet you ! You are so beautiful, how are you?

Marilyn: I am fine .Thank you.

Richard: When did you come here?

Yaoming: I came here about three days ago with my wife.

Marilyn: Where is your wife now.

Yaoming: My wife has some temporary work first. When did you come to Shanghai?

Richard: We just arrived and are not familiar with the situation yet.

Yaoming: No problem. Let us visit together.

Marilyn: Thank you so much.

Richard: When did the Expo start?

Marilyn: And when does it end?

Yaoming: It ‘s from May 1st to October 31st; about six months

Richard: Did you see the U.S. Pavilion? How it is?

Yaoming: I saw it. It’s over there, very beautiful. Denmark, double loop track is very special. Beautiful!

Marilyn: My god ,which country’s is that? It looks like a glacier Kettle.

Yaoming: Yes. The shape of water bottle is made with ice. The country is Finland.

Marilyn: How beautiful is the crystal ball.

Yaoming: It is the Taiwan Pavilion. The Hong Kong Pavilion is at the side of it, and is also good looking. The Macau Museum design is very interesting. It looks like a large rabbit.

Richard: Did you see all of the Pavilion of China?

Yaoming: It is over there. There are various of exhibitions from every field and every province has a show. There’s a Corporate Pavilion, a car museum, an information and communication Expo Center, Hunan Museum, Jilin Museum and Liaoning Museum.

Richard: Liaoning - a big city, Zhao Benshan

Yaoming: Yes.Zhao Benshan was born there

Marilyn: Zhao Benshan performed Er Ren Zhuan(二人转) It’s great, everyone likes to see it.

Yaoming: Haha we like watching it .Especially me. I really enjoyed Zhao’s program. That is in the Liaoning Museum 

Marilyn: Great shape, the design is wonderful.

Richard: I brought the camera. Let’s take a photo here .

Marilyn: OK.

Yaoming: Wonderful!

Yaoming: I am so sorry. I received a phone call.

Richard: That’s all right! 

Marilyn: Look. This is the Shanghai Pavilion which he mentioned. 

Richard: Do you know what’s inside? It must be even more beautiful!

Marilyn: Let’s have a look.

Yaoming: I am sorry. I am in hurry, I must go now

Richard:  OK.

Yaoming: I am so sorry, I will call you when I have some time . Goodbye!

Marilyn: Bye!
