Good afternoon everyone. I’m so honored to be given the chance to talk about my teaching plan. This topic mainly talks about reading and writing , The students in high school have known some basic knowledge about English writing reading.
教学内容分析
The teaching materials of this period contain two parts. The first part is a reading passage titled Should we give more attention to students’ health or grades? in which the wrier expresses his opinion. The second part is the writing task ,which asks the students to write an argumentative passage about going out or staying at home during their summer holidays.

To enable the students to write an argumentative composition according to the requirement
Ability aims :
Get the students to grasp the way of writing an argumentative composition
Emotional aim :
Help the students increase their awareness of analysis of problems.
As long as they work hard they can deal with many problems.

Reading for specific information,summarizing,discussing and practicing.
Emotion,attitude and value
To arouse students' awareness of the analysis of the problem, and make a right decision about it

Teaching procedures:
Step 1.Lead in
Step 2 Reading
Here is a passage about sports in which the writer writes his own opinions about it. Now first read the text, and then answer the following questions:
What is the writer’s opinion about sports?
How many parts can you divide the passage into?
What is the type of the passage?
Step3 Summary
Now, we should be aware that, when writing an argumentative composition, how many parts should it have?
At least 3 parts.
The first part leads out the topic, the second part argues and demonstrates or describes the argument, the third part gives a summary.
And when writing, we can start like this :
When it comes to…, I think… …
And the second part, we can use some sentences like these:
some people think that…, on the other hand,… for one thing…, for another… the first and most important reason is that… firstly…, secondly…, thirdly…
And the third part, we can use :
from my point of view, I think… as for myself/my part, I would like to … my answer is … I cant agree more with …
Step4 Practice
Give the students a passage, using the following sentences to fill the blanks.
Step5 Discussion
I think everyone has your own opinions about “Should we give more attention to students’ health or grades? “So I would like to divide you into groups to have a discussion. Please list the opinions of your group.
Step5 Writing
Now class, I think you are ready to write an argumentative essay.
Step6 Representation
Ask some students to show us his composition .
Step7 Homework
Write another composition about whether middle school students can go to school with mobile phones.
