How to make our college life more meaningful

When you become a college student, it means that you start to lead another new life. College is significant for us and we will get more knowledge from here. Therefore, we should do our best to make our college life more meaningful. But what should we do?

In fact, college is just like a small society. In this small society, college is full of all kinds of competitions. As a college student, we should face them bravely instead of giving them up. Rumi said “you were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life?” So we should develop ourselves hard. For example, we can take part in all kinds of activities and join in varieties of students associations in college. They will enrich our life and improve our abilities to communicate with others. And if you have some excellent abilities, you will feel it’s not very difficult to find a dream job after graduating from the college. Therefore, we should try our best to show ourselves, to develop ourselves and to improve ourselves.

 Besides, in my opinion, studying is very important for us, too. With China entering into the WTO, Chinese people can communicate with foreigners more easily than before. And college students will have more and more challenges. So, we should not prefer to study very hard rather than practise knowledge. The experience gathered from books, though often valuable, is but the nature of learning; where as the experience gained from actual life is of the nature of wisdom. In college, you will learn a lot of things not only in textbooks, but also out of class; not only in theory, but also in practice. If you can use the knowledge that you have got to solve some problems in our life, you will do more meaningful things instead of regretting for things you did not do. 

In addition, we should get on well with others. Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle. The friends who you meet in college will give you some valuable help in the future. And if you have lots of real friends, you won’t feel lonely, you will enjoy the time in college.

College is so important for us that we should value it well. We should remember these and do like them. And only in these ways, will our college life be more meaningful.
