There seems exists huge difference between growing older and growing up. We're growing older when lie in bed for one full day, without doing anything productive because it takes no talent or ability at all. It lays emphasis on the aging process in physics. When we mention growing up, it not only includes the growing in physics, however, it refers to the real maturity in mentality, morality, or we can say we always find challenge for ourselves in changing life. That is what the philosopher says, the free and comprehensive development of people.
Some actually grew up from the youth to senior, becoming stronger and older. Can we say they are growing up? Some lived for short years or have been physically disabled but have created infinite for human such as Helen Keller, a great writer, who has firm belief in pursuing the nicety of life, and Stephen William Hawking, who continuously begged science spirit bravely.
I personally believe that most of us are growing up while turning older at the same time. They are not contradictive aspects. Growing up happens on basis of growing older. What we concern is learn to grow up as growing older, which requires us to extend the width of life in the limited lifetime.
Anybody will grow older. What we should do is trying our best to create, to produce and to challenge for something in our lifetime to make it valuable, and significant.
So you're growing older or growing up now?
