The Confucius Temple is one of the most famous places in Nanjing , the capital of Jiangsu Province. It was built to memorize Confucius, a famous educator and philosophyer. It was built in1034 in the Song Dynasty.

There are some tourist shops, snack bars, restaurants and tea cafes in the area. They are all in the Ming and Qing styles. There's much traditional Nanjing's food around the temple. The temple is beside the Qinhuai River. It is very beautiful, especially in the evening. Many people take boats to see the scenery of the Confucius Temple.
