Good afternoon ,ladies and gentlemen ！

     Please allow me on behalf of Nanjing China International Travel Service to extend our sincere welcome to you .My name is ** , also a postgraduate in ** University .I will do as much as I can to make your stay in Nanjing both enjoyable and memorable .Now on the way to 。。。，I’ll give you some information about the city.

     Nanjing the capital city of Jiangsu Province and the provincial, economic and cultural center, is located in the lower reaches of Yangzi River, southwest of the province .The population of its urban area is about 7.2million .

     Nanjing is in the middle latitudes ,which lies within the subtropical monsoon climate zone.Four seasons in Nanjing is clearly demarcated. Among them ,winter and summer are longer than spring and autumn .And the average annual rainfall is above 1000millimeter ,so Nanjing is a humid city.In the beginning of every summer, the warm and the cold fronts meet here in Nanjing, which results in about one-month-long raining period.   

Nanjing is a lovely city with unique charm.I have worked and studied here for more than 5 years.So I have a deep attachment to this city.In my opinion ,the most distinctive character of the city is the capability.And I was impressed by the straight ,frank character and a sense of humor of Nanjing people.

Nanjing  is one of China’s famous ancient capitals (the others are Beijing ,Xi’an,and Luoyang) and served as capital of ten dynasties: Wu,East Jin,Song.Qi,Liang,Chen,South Tang,Ming ,Tai Ping Kingdom and the Republic of China subsequently.

Nanjing is also a tourist city and an important hub of transportation and communication center ,one of China’s four major scientific research and educational central cities.

As a key tourist city in China ,Nanjing’s tourist economy has been developed quickly .Its tourist industry is beginning to take shape.There are various places of historic interest and scenic beauty .The Qinhuai Scenic Area and the Purple-Mountain Scenic Area are selected as one of “The 40 Best Scenic Spots in China”.The Ming City Wall ,Ming Tomb ,and Stone-Walled City are well-known at home and abroad and have been attracting innumerable visitors.

Nanjing is a perfect integration of mountains ,rivers, city and trees .During our following schedule ,I will introduce to you the historic relics ,beautiful scenic spot, mysterious folklores one by one .
