A long time ago, there was a queen. She had a pretty daughter named Snow White. Soon after the child was born, the queen died. The queen married another queen. The stepmother didn’t like her very much.She made Snow White do the housework all day and all night.

A wizard had given this Queen a glass. The glass could speak. It was on the wall in the Queen's room. Every day the queen looked in the glass to see how beautiful she was. As she looked in the glass, she asked: "Tell me, glass upon the wall, who is most beautiful of all?" And the glass said: "The Queen is most beautiful of all."

 　　Years went by. Snow-white grew up and became a little girl. every day the Queen looked in the glass and said, "Tell me, glass upon the wall, who is most beautiful of all?" And the glass said, "Snow-white is most beautiful of all."

 　　When the Queen heard this, she was very angry. She said, "Snow-white is not more beautiful than I am. There is no one who is more beautiful than I am." So she called a hunter, and said, "Take Snow-white into the forest and kill her."

 　　The hunter took Snow-white to the forest, but he did not kill her, because she was so beautiful and so lovely. He put Snow White in the forest and went away.

    Snow White ran, ran, and ran. Finally she ran into the woods. The woods were scary and dark. Snow White was tired, hungry, and scared. In the woods, she saw a little house and went inside. The little house belonged to seven little dwarfs. They were not at home now. They were out working. Snow White looked around the little house. The room was a little messy, so she cleaned it up. The seven dwarfs came home and were surprised to see Snow White in the house. Because she was so nice, they soon liked her. They even asked her to stay with them. Snow White was safe now.

   The Evil Queen thought Snow White was dead. "Now, I am the most beautiful woman in the world," she said. She asked the mirror, "Who's the most beautiful woman now?" The mirror still said, "Snow White."

    The queen was so angry that she acted to be an old ugly witch and took a poisoned apple to Snow White’s house. She gave the poisoned apple to Snow White. Snow White took a bite of the apple and fell asleep. The witch laughed and ran away.  

　 The seven dwarfs made a glass bed for Snow White. Around it they put flowers and beautiful things. Every day they cried, "We miss you, Snow White." Snow White did not wake up. 

　 One day, a prince was passing by. He saw the beautiful Snow White on her special bed. "She is so beautiful, I want to kiss her." He gave Snow White a kiss. Just then, she woke up. The prince asked her to marry him, and she said yes. Snow White and the prince lived happily ever after.
