    It's a great honor for me to stand here to deliver a speech to you. Thentoday I want to talk something about dreams and reality. 

    As the famous Russian litterateur Lev Tolstoy (列夫、托尔斯泰)said, “Ideal is thebeacon(烟火、灯塔). Without ideal, there is no secure (无虑的, 安全的, 安心的, 可靠的,保险的)direction; without a direction, there is no life.” So there’s no doubt thateveryone needs his or her own ideal. Have you ever thought that what ispractical and sensible(.明智的, 有感觉的, 明理的) will connect with our most treasureddreams? Maybe, to somebody, reality has little relation to ideal. To othersnothing can be done without the sense of reality. So make our dreams a part ofour reality. And make our reality a part of our dreams. There is no reason whyour dreams must oppose our reality. Improve our dreams and our reality bybringing them together. 

    As a university student, establishing a dream is one of the most importantthings we have to do .But everyone must see the reality clearly at first. Yourfamily condition, your personal ability, your social intercourse (交往、交流), yoursubject and the job you want to do, these things show you the reality and leadyou to establish a dream. 

    Further more, difficult or otherwise, we should put the power of realityinto our dreams. Last but not least remember to work hard at the task of chasing追逐our dreams. Do believe that we can achieve our ideal step by step by thepassage of time!

    I have a dream 

    Every one has his own dream.When I was a little kid ,my dream was even tohave a candy shop of my own .But now ,when I am 16 years old ,standing here ,mydreams have already changed a lot. 

    I have got quite different e某perience from other girls.While they wereplaying toys at home,while they were dreaming to be the princesses in the story.I was running in the hard rain,jumping in the heavy snow,pitching in the strongwind.Nothing could stop me ,because of a wonderful call from my heart -- to bean athlete.Yeah ,of course ,I'm an athlete,I'm so proud of that all the time. 

    When I was 10 years old ,I became a shot-put athlete.The training wasreally hard ,I couldn't bear the heavy shot in my hands .But I always believethat "god only help those who help themselves".During those hard days,I find Iwas growing more quickly than others of the same age.To be an athlete is my mostcorrect choice.But,I quit my team after entering high school because of a sillye某cuse.I really didn't want to stop my sports career anyway. 

    Today I say to you my friends that even though I must face the difficultiesof yesterday ,today and tomorrow .I still have a dream .It is a dream deeplyrooted in my soul. 

    I have a dream that one day ,I can run,jump and pitch just like I used tobe. 

    I have a dream that one day , I can go back to my dream sports and join thenational team. 

    I have a dream that one day ,I can stand on the highest place at theolympic games.With all the cameras pointing at me.I will tell everyone that I'mso proud to be a Chinese athlete! 

    This is my hope .This is the faith that I continue my steps with!!! 

    With this faith ,I will live though the strong wind and heavy rain ,nevergive up ! 

    So let victory ring from my heart,from all of you.When we allow victory toring .I must be the one!

    It will make or break a company,a church ,a home. 

    The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day, regarding the attitudewe will embrace for that day.

    The only thing we can do is play on the one stage we have.And that is ourattitudes. 

    I am convinced that life is ten percent what happens to me ,and ninetypercent how I react to it.And so it is with you. 

    We are in charge of our attitudes.
