四.语法

由if, if…not, unless 引导的条件状语从句

(1) 主句,从句都为一般现在时,表示这一行为引起的必然结果,此时可用when代替if.

(2) 从句谓语动词为一般现在时,主句谓语动词为一般将来时或情态动词及祈使句形式,表示将可能引起的结果.

. If you practise playing the piano every day, you’ll play well.

(3) unless 除非,如果不,可替换为if…not

. If you don’t keep the ice in a fridge, it melts quickly.= Unless you keep the ice in a fridge, it melts quickly.
