问路：

        Take the first turning on the right/left.

        Turn left /right at the first crossing.

         It takes about 15 minutes on foot.

9. 购物

(1)售货员与顾客打招呼：

   What can I do for you? 你要买什么？   May/Can I help you? 你买东西吗？

回答：告诉售货员你要买什么：

a. I want/need…. 或者说：I'd like…. “我想要(买)……。”

b.  Thanks. I'm just looking around. 谢谢，我到处走走看。

(3)顾客询问价格：

 How much is it / are they? 多少钱？= How much does it / do they cost?

=What’s the price of it / them?

(5)售货员询问顾客购买货物的数量、尺寸、颜色等：

   How many/much do you want?  你要买多少？

   What colour/size/kind/do you want?  你想要什么颜色(尺寸、种类……)？

   Which one would you like? 你要挑哪一件(个、块……)？

   What/How about this one/these ones? 你觉得这个(些)怎么样？

     ---- Hold on for a moment, please. 请等一会。

    ---- I'm sorry she isn't here right now.   对不起她现在不在这里。

           Can I take a message for you?  给你留口信好吗？

     ----- No, there's no Jane here. I'm afraid you've got the wrong number. 

不是，这儿没有……。恐怕你的电话号码错了。

2. Who‘s that? / Who was it? 请问你是谁？ ---- This is Kangkang speaking. 我是康康。

3. Can you take a message for me? 你可以为我留个口信吗？ ---- Sure. / Of course.
