　  Life can be good,

　　Life can be bad,

　　Life is mostly cheerful,

　　But sometimes sad.

　　Life can be dreams,

　　Life can be great thoughts;

　　Life can mean a person,

　　Sitting in court.

Life can be dirty,

　　Life can even be painful;

　　But life is what you make it,

　　So try to make it beautiful.

生活有可能美满幸福，                                     生活有可能倒楣落魄，                                     生活多半是欢乐快活，

然而有时是悲伤凄楚。                                    生活可能是幻想愿望，                                     生活可能是绝妙意图；                                     生活也可能使一个人，                                     正坐在法庭上被起诉。                                     生活有可能污秽龌龊，                                     生活甚至有可能痛苦；　　                                 但生活是你自己创造，                                     所以努力使它变幸福。
