3. The Yueyang Tower is an ancient architectural marvel with a history that dates back to the Three Kingdoms period.
4. During that time, Lu Su was sent to Yueyang to train the fleet and constructed the tower near a strategic location where Lake Dongting meets the Yangtze River.
5. From the tower, the entire Lake Dongting could be observed, facilitating naval command.
6. Additionally, the renowned poet Fanchongyan visited the tower and composed a poem that conveyed his admiration.
7. His poetic lines, "Be the first to worry about the world and the last to enjoy," have become widely known and are often used to introduce Yueyang.
