Prior to the release of the Echo Base set, only two of these characters had been released as minifigures: Rey and the droid. The inclusion of the TIE Bomber pilot in this set marks the first time an Imperial pilot has been exclusively assigned to the TIE Bomber, and it also represents the first minifigure of General Reysolon in Star Wars history.
