的信息;后退的实墙为获得更多的日照创造了最佳条件;

HOUSING ON BERCY PARK, PARIS, FRANCE, 1994
In early 1990's, with the progress of urbanregeneration in Paris, Bercy Housing Project whichoriginal master planned by Jean-Pierre Buffi wasbuilt at Bercy, the suburb of Paris. Along the newPark at Bercy, six blocks were designed by sixdifferent architectural firms. Each of them was builtwith its own inner courtyard. All blocks were linkedtogether by south balconies. The 67 units contribution by Christian dePortzamparc is located in the east of the project.Following the city's regulations which ask to keepan existing chestnut tree, unlike the other architectswho arranged the blocks partly to open to the parkand close off from the street, Portzamparc openeda breach on the north side to divide the buildinginto two parts. This opening makes a conversationbetween the housing block and urban street, andit breaks the individuality of the scheme to makethe building less similar. It also gives a fresh breath, more open and continuous atmosphere to thisresidential property.
The two towers located on the south side areunique. Facing the Park, verandas, balconies andgreenery convey natural sunny messages to thepeople. The walls are receded for more sunlight. Asto those glazed, vertical and horizontal baywindows, they let a plenty of natural light in therooms. Towards the courtyard, the walls of anglesprovide a better view of courtyard.□(Photos bythe author: ZHOU Jingmin)3 剖面 / Section
