一         How to protect the Environment

The environment we live in is becoming dirtier and dirtier because we pollute it every day. As we all know, good environment can make people feel happy and fit. To improve the environment means to improve our life. So we should plant more trees and flowers around us. We shouldn’t cut down trees. We should stop factories from pouring waste water into the rivers and waste gas into the air. Whenever we see litter on the ground, we should pick it up and throw it into bins. Don’t draw on public walls. It’s our duty to protect the environment.

二                  I love my mother

There are many people around me, but I love my mother best. My mother is a good worker. She is also a good mother. She tries her best to work at home. She often tells me to work hard and to be honest. Without my mother’s help, I can’t grow healthily. My mother is very busy every day. She gets up early to prepare breakfast for me.  She takes good care of my family. She does a lot of housework at home every day. For my mother, I will do my best to be a good child. I will love her forever.

三          A wonderful football Match

Last Friday afternoon, there was a football match between Class 2 and our class. It began at 4:00 in the afternoon. At first, Class 2 did very well. They kicked one goal. We were a little worried. In the second half, we tried our best to play better than before. In the last minutes, we kicked two goals. It was wonderful. We were not strong, but we won the match at last.We laugh the last , and we laugh the last.

四                  The Internet

Nowadays, more and more middle school students are very interested in surfing the Internet. 

This causes a lot of different ideas about it .Some people think that surfing the Internet is a good way of relaxing. It is helpful to their study. They can know the world and make more friends on the Internet. But some people think it is bad for health. Surfing the Internet for a long time can make the students feel boring at their study. 

 I think surfing the Internet is helpful. But remember; don’t lose yourself in it all day.

•五    Whether should we do housework or not? 

Many students have different ideas about it. All they must do is to study at school or at home. They think they have nothing to do with it .However, it is necessary for us students to do housework.  First, doing housework can help us to do everything by ourselves.  

Secondly, housework can also relax ourselves. I think it is necessary for us students to do a little housework after school. 

So please do housework and enjoy it. 

六                   Traveling  

Some people don’t like traveling because it costs too much.  They think they can enjoy the beauty of nature. I like traveling too.

Every time when I travel, I can learn different things. 

 I can understand different cultures and eat different food.  Sometimes I feel tired, but I feel relaxed. And I can get much knowledge about history and cultures and so on.

Traveling is an interesting outdoor activity. 

I like it very much.

How time flies! I am a middle student in Grade 3 now.

八， 我为我而自豪        

I’m proud of myself

I am sunny boy filled with confidence and the joy of life. As a music lover, playing the piano makes me proud of myself. 

Everyday I often play the piano for a while to relax myself. 

Also, my family members quite enjoy the wonderful melodies. 

I believe music is great power. 

And playing the piano enables me to learn the joy of life. So I am proud of myself because I bring happiness to my family as well as myself by playing the piano. 

I’m proud of myself

I’m a girl / boy who never give up. Three months ago, I broke my leg seriously. 

From then on, I couldn’t walk as usual and always stay in bed. Although I couldn’t go to school, I didn’t give up my study. I tried my best to forget the pain and study hard. 

To my surprise, when I went to school to have a test, I did very well. 

I was so happy and proud of myself. Because I never give up my hope and make me successful!  

九       Is it good for more people to own cars?

I don’t think it’s good for more people to own cars.

Firstly, having more cars will make our city suffer from traffic jams. Therefore, during the rush hour, the roads will be crowded. On the other hand, having more cars will use more oil.  It will release more carbon dioxide .It will cause the greenhouse effect.

People cause more damage to the earth when they have more cars.

A good suggestion is that we can use public transportations more often instead of having more cars.

十           The teacher I never forget

Mr. Li is the teacher I will never forget. 

He taught us Chinese. His classes are interesting. He made friends with us, but sometimes he is very strict with us. 

I used to be poor in Chinese. He often helped me with my lessons very patiently. Mr. Li is old, but he taught us very well. His lessons are very interesting and lively. Thanks to his help. I made great progress in Chinese. I will never forget him.

         The teacher I never forget 

Since I was young, I have met many good teachers. I am so lucky. I like English. I will never forget my English teacher----Miss Li. With her help, I improved my English quickly and had good marks in English. Now I am full of confidence in this subject. Miss Li always helped me and she taught me a lot. Her class was lively and interesting. I am interested in her classes. Without her help, I won’t improve my English so quickly. 

She is also my best friends. So I will never forget her. 

十一               “Low carbon life”

The idea of low carbon life is very popular in every corner of our country.  It means low energy and no waste.  I think it’s our duty to save the earth. We should go to school by bike or on foot rather than by bus or car.

Before we left the classroom, we must make sure the lights are turned off. In order to make full use of water, we can writer on both sides. When we are going shopping, we should use cloth bags instead of plastic ones. We can plant more and more trees.

 Lower carbon, happier life.  Let’s take actions!

十二          “Changes around me in Shanghai”

Shanghai is a city full of energy. Great changes have taken place in Shanghai, such as environment and transport. People spent much money in protecting the environment. So the air is much fresher and sky is cleaner than before. In addition, transport in Shanghai is also improved. Nowadays many streets have been widened. We have more underground lines. It is very convenient for us to travel.

As a Shanghainese, it is wonderful to see that Shanghai has changed a lot. I hope Shanghai will become more and more beautiful and attractive tomorrow.

十三                     My Idol          

I like sports very much, so I have made Yao Ming my idol since I was a small child.

He is very tall and strong, and he is good at playing basketball. 

As a good sportsman, he is so energetic and skillful that he was chosen as a new NBA star. I like him because he is hard-working and kind-hearted. 

He often gives money to the poor people. I learn a lot from him.  

I am working hard at school now. I wish I could be successful like him in the future.

十四            An Unforgettable Activity       

Last Friday was my sixteenth birthday. I invited a lot of relatives and friends to my birthday party. The party began at 6:00 p.m. First, my friends helped light the candles. Then they wanted me to make three wishes. They sang “Happy Birthday” to me. After that we had a big dinner. 

At the party, we also played games until 9:00. We really have a good time.
