一、教学目的、基本要求及在教学计划中的地位

【教学目的】 《英语电影赏析》是高等院校英语专业的一门专业选修课，是学生第三学年 的一门专业任选课。本课程的任务是引导学生在完成基础英语学习，具有一定的听、说、读、 写技能的前提下，进一步将各项知识拓宽、拓深，将以前未曾涉及的知识内容教授给学生， 开阔学生的眼界、增强学生的语感，运用所掌握的专业技能获取更为广泛的语言文化知识和 信息，培养学生的艺术作品赏析能力及审美情趣，以及培养学生作为一个英语专业人才必须 具备的各项素质。

【基本要求】 本课程的教学方法应“以学习者为中心”，注重启发式的教学方法，避免填 鸭式，应利用教学过程中的各个环节充分进行语言实践，使学生掌握听、说、写、译的能力。 通过作业和练习让学生学会自如地运用英语获取语言文化知识和信息的方法和能力，提高学 生对艺术作品的赏析能力及审美情趣。
