Undergraduate Program for Navigation Technology
一、业务培养目标
1、Educational Objectives
本专业培养具备海洋及内河船舶驾驶、船舶运输管理等方面的知识和技能,能在海洋及内河运输企事业单位从事船舶驾驶、营运管理、港口引航、海事管理及高等学校、科研院所从事教学和科学工作,符合国际海员培训、发证和值班标准公约(STCW78公约2010马尼拉修正案)和我国船员适任标准要求并取得高级船员适任证书的高级航海技术及管理人才。
This program aims at training advanced talents competent in navigation technology and management with qualifications of international seafarer training, certificate issuing, STCW78/10 as well as requirements for seafarers of the People’s Republic of China, who have solid theoretical foundation and basic skills in ship steering at sea and in inland waterways, ship transport and management. They are competent to engage in researching and teaching in ship steering, ship operation management and harbor pilot in higher institutions and research institutes.

2、Educational Requirements
本专业主要对学生进行现代海洋及内河船舶驾驶、船舶运输管理的基本理论和基本知识教育,识别和使用各种航图、导航仪器和GMDSS通信设备等的基本训练,指挥和组织船舶航行综合素质、航海科技创新能力和国防观念的培养。
本专业毕业生应具备以下方面的知识和能力:
1.航行值班、航线设计、组织船舶安全航行和操作GMDSS通信设备的能力;
2.船舶及其设备的使用、保养等基本技能;
3.船舶管理、货物运输、营运管理、海商法与远洋运输业务等基础知识;
4.文献检索、资料查询的基本方法和初步的科学研究和实际工作能力。
Students of this program are required to acquire basic theories and knowledge of modern ship steering at sea and in inland waterways, ship transport and management. They are nurtured to identify and utilize all kinds of navigational charts, navigational instruments and GMDSS equipment and conduct independent commanding and organizing of ship navigation. They are also cultivated to master navigation sci-tech innovation and form the awareness of national defense.
The graduates are also required to acquire the knowledge or abilities as follows:
1. Watch-keeping at sea, route planning, organizing of ship safety navigation and operating of GMDSS equipment;
2. Mastering the skills of the usage and maintenance of ships and the equipment;
3. Mastering the knowledge of ship management, cargo transportation, ship operation management, maritime law and ocean shipping business;
4. Mastering basic methods of literature retrieval and information inquiry, and having abilities of scientific research and practical working.

10、Other Demands
《形势与》课程,平均每学期16学时,一般按专题进行,在第七学期末考核,计 2个课外学分,具体由学校学生发展指导中心负责组织落实。
Situation & Policy, a 16 hours/term with 2 credits course, is taught according to topics and tested at the end of the 7th term . The course will be arranged by the University Students’ Affairs’ Department in each school.
