
Formal and Informal organization have many differences in different aspect. For example the membership, of commitment, control of authority or leadership, structure, facilities, fees, duties, and activities.
IN Formal organization , Every employee has officially recognized and established membership. The relationship between the members is more a status relationship than a personal relationship. But in informal organization , we don’t need to obey the authorities. It is not our duty to got official membership, we can increase organization culture by ourselves. The relationship between the members is more like a personal relationship.
Formal organization is made under proper appointment of employee under the training and selection. But for the informal organization, it decided by the good relation between the members , if you are in good relation with someone,you can invite him to join the organization without the authority’s permission , of course it not allowed in the formal organization.
In Formal organization, co-ordination is the basis of business ,work could be hard to complete without co-ordination. But in the informal organization there is no necessity to do that.
In formal Organization, each position has rules governing what can be done or what cannot be done. There are rewards and penalties for complying with these rules and performing duties as well. But in an informal organization, the conduct of individuals within organization is governed by norms that is social rules of behavior
Formal organization sometime become burdens on head in the time of work overload but informal organization reduces work overload burden .

Formal organizations are contrastively more inflexible. It’s not easy to bring changes or amendment in the establishment. Informal organizations are more flexible. It’s not alway rigid Changes can be brought forth easily. It just requires the changes in attitudes of the members.
There are many more differences between formal and informal organization than i listed.But it’s sure they all have their advantages dan disadvantages.
