With the development of traveling, many high school students who finished their study prefer to travel for a year before they attend the university. Some people believe that it has an important effect on their study. However, others claim that it can only waste their time. In this essay, we will discuss it’s advantages and disadvantages.

On one hand, going outdoors or even going abroad can benefits young people. First of all, they are able to enrich their knowledge by travelling. When they go to someplace where they are not familiar, they can get more information by asking the native. Secondly, travelling after graduated will lighten the burden of study, Young people will have a relax if they leave home and go to where they want to go. After getting lots of rest, students will study harder. What’s more, they could also realize what they need to understand but they don’t know. Therefore, young people are able to have an active attitude on their college.

On the other hand, travelling also has drawbacks. For one thing, it takes students almost a year to finish the travel. Others learn more knowledge during this year. Therefore, they may not as outstanding as others who don’t have a travel. For another thing, having a travel can waste a lot of money. And it will bring a little to the young people who can not make money. 

   In general, traveling before attending university has it’s advantages and drawbacks. However, considering the students’ feel, I prefer to have a travel when they graduate from high school rather then stay at home before attending the college.
