我的同学 My Classmates

Since I went to middle school, I have met a lot of interesting friends, and most of them are my classmates. Though we are from different areas and share different interests, we are a group and make progress together. Every time when the school activity comes, we will fight for the group’s honor. Sometimes we will have arguments about making decisions, but once we know our direction, the whole team will spare no effort to finish the task. I like this lovely group. As we study and fight for our future together, no matter where I go, I will remember these lovely classmates. 

自从我上中学后，我就认识很多有趣的朋友，大部分都是同学。虽然我们来自不同的地方，有着不同的兴趣爱好，但是我们是一个团体，共同进步。每次学校有活动的时候，我们都会为团体的荣誉而战。有时我们会为了某个决定而争论，但是一旦我们确定方向，整个团队都会不遗余力地完成这个任务。我喜欢这个可爱的集体，一起学习，为未来而奋斗。无论我以后去哪里了，我都会记得这些可爱的同学。

礼物 Present

Every time when my birthday comes, I will be very excited, because I can receive all kinds of surprises from both my parents and friends. Last week, I spent a happy weekend with my parents. We traveled to another city and made the short tour as my birthday present. We took the train and my parents sat aside the window. They explained the names of the trees and flowers to me. Sometimes they talked about their old times and laughed out loudly. When we arrived the city, we saw the tourist sites and went shopping, what a wonderful thing. This trip is the best present for me, I learned a lot.

关于亲情 About Kinship

I was born in a big family. There are five people in my family and I have two sisters. What’s more, my father has three brothers and sisters, so when the family gets reunion, and the whole families come to have dinner, it looks like a big party. What a harmonious atmosphere. We pay special attention to keep the kinship, so we will have the big dinner at least twice a month. The big family makes me feel love all the time, and we care for each other. When we have problems, other relatives will give their hands. I am so proud of my big family, it makes me stronger.

我的老师 My Teacher

The first day when I started my middle school life, I felt so lonely, because I didn’t know anyone who was around me. My teacher Miss Li was like our parent, and she arranged everything for us. The first lesson she gave was to let us introduce each other, soon we became familiar with each other. Miss Li was very good at telling jokes. She made the atmosphere so lively and funny. We laughed out loudly. I was no longer feeling lonely and made many friends. Miss Li is favored by everyone. She is such a nice teacher. I am so lucky to be one of her students.

当我第一天开始我的中学生活时，我感到很孤独，因为我都不认识周围的人。是我的老师，她就像我们的父母一样，为我们安排好一切。第一节课她让我们互相介绍自己，很快我们就彼此熟悉了。很擅长讲笑话，她把气氛弄得很活跃、有趣，我们都大声笑了出来。我不再感到孤独也交了很多朋友。每一个人都喜欢，她是一个好老师，我很幸运能够成为她的学生。

我的小伙伴 My Partner

I have a good friend, her name is Li Hua. We are in the same class. So it is natural for us to become partners. When we have group work, we will cooperate well. One thing that I admire Li Hua so much is her persistence. Sometimes when the task is too hard to finish, and I want to give up, but Li inspires me to hang on and she believes that we will get over the difficulty. Indeed, under her leadership, I become a tough girl. So when I meet difficulty, I choose to figure out some ways to solve the problem instead of running away. A good partner will bring you the positive side.

我有一个好朋友，她的名字叫李华。我们是同班同学，所以很自然地我们就成了好伙伴。我们在做小组工作时，合作得很好。我非常佩服李华的一点就是她的毅力。有时任务很难完成的时候，我就想放弃了，但是李华激励我坚持下去，她相信我们会克服困难的。事实上，在她的引导下，我成为一个坚强的女孩。当我遇到困难时，我会选择想方法来解决问题，而不是去逃避。一个好伙伴会带来积极的一面。

我的好朋友 My Good Friend

I like to make friends. Thus, coming to the new environment, I am so eager to meet cool people here and be friends with them. Li Mei is my good friend, she is a really nice and cool girl. The first time I met her, she was having argument with others, because a young man did the rude things to the old man. She blamed the young man for not apologizing to the old person. I admired her courage and made friends with her. I found she could give the creative idea about hot issues. Her difference makes her stand out. I cherish our friendship.

我的理想 My Dream

When people ask me what kind of job I want to work on in the future, my answer is definitely being a teacher. I can pass my knowledge to the students and make contribution to the society, what a great job. I also like to share new things with others, so I am so eager to search the world and collect the valuable information. In order to realize my dream, I must study hard. No matter what kind of difficulties I meet, I will never give up. The successful people’ experiences show me the importance of insistence, and I know I can make it some day.

当人们问我将来想从事什么样的工作时，我会毫不犹豫的回答成为一名老师。我可以把我的知识传授给学生，对社会做出贡献，这是多么伟大的工作啊。我也喜欢与他人分享新事物，所以我非常渴望探索世界，收集有价值的信息。为了实现我的梦想，我必须努力学习。无论我遇到什么样的困难，我永远都不会放弃。成功人士的经验告诉我坚持的重要性，我知道有一天我也可以做到的。

助人为乐 Be Happy About Helping Others

Since we go to school, we have received the education that helping others is the thing that we can be proud of. So when we give people a hand, we will be happy. But nowadays, the news has reported that many bad guys make use of the innocent children’s kindness and commit a crime. The public is so angry about this bad behavior and people have started to realize that children should learn to protect themselves when they help the strangers. Thus, when we help strangers, we need to tell our parents and never take action alone. It is important to protect ourselves, while we are still willing to help other people.

我们一上学就被教导帮助别人是一件值得骄傲的事情。所以我们给他人伸出援助之手就会感到快乐。但现在，据新闻报道有很多坏人利用孩子的单纯善良来做一些犯罪的事情。人们对于这样的行为感到生气，也已经开始意识到孩子在帮助陌生人的时候要学会保护自己。所以，当我们去帮助陌生人时，我们要告知父母，永远都不要独自采取行动。保护自己是很重要的，但是我们仍然愿意帮助别人。

尊重他人 Respect Others

On March 11th, 1999, a protest activity was held by the local residents in America. They were driven away from where they lived by the government, but the government had promised them to be a permanent residents before. A lot of people joined the activity and called for the officials to respect their choice. As a result, it has been admitted that March 11th is a day to show respect to others. We need a day to reminds us of the importance of showing respect to others. In the campus, students get bullied incident happens all the time and the public condemns this bad situation and call for showing respect to each other.

春节 Spring Festival

In China, Spring Festival is the biggest day. People will come back home and enjoy spending some time with their families. So no matter how far they are, they will figure out all the ways to come back home and get reunited. The house cleaning work before the coming of this big day always brings me the happy memory. We can find something lost a long time ago in the corner. It is like the surprise and makes me feel so excited. On the New Year’s Eve, all of my families will sit together and enjoy the real big meal. We share our happiness and the future expectation. What a nice moment.

在中国，春节是最重要的日子。人们都会回家，跟家人享受在一起的时光，所以不管有多远，都会想尽一切办法回家团聚。春节前房子的打扫工作总是给我带来快乐的记忆。我们可以在角落里找到一些丢失很久的东西，就像惊喜一样，我觉得很兴奋。除夕夜，我所有的家人都会坐在一起，享受大餐。我们分享彼此的幸福以及对未来的期望。多么美好的时刻啊。

传统文化 Traditional Culture

Today, as the development of technology, people work with efficiency and some of the traditional hand-made work have been abandoned. For example, the paper cutting, which is the classical art for Chinese culture. It has the long history and foreigners are so impressed by this amazing work. While for the young generation, most of them have no idea how this art is made, they only know it from the news and some pictures. The traditional culture is forgetting and we have duty to keep it as part of the national treasure. Though technology facilitates our life, we can’t abandon our culture. More activities should be held to let people know more about our culture.

如今，随着科技的发展，人们的工作更加有效率了，一些传统的手工活就被遗弃了。例如，剪纸——经典的中国文化艺术。它有着悠久的历史，外国人也对这令人惊叹的作品印象深刻。而对于年轻一代来说，他们中的大多数人都不知道这门艺术是怎样完成的，他们只是从新闻和一些照片上了解过。传统文化正在被人们遗忘，我们有义务把它作为国家宝藏的一部分保存下来。虽然科技促进了我们生活的发展，但是我们不能放弃自己的文化，应该举办更多的活动让人们更了解我们的文化。

父母的爱 Love From Parents

I was born in an ordinary family. Though my parents won’t buy me all the things I want, I know they love me. Every day, when I come home after school, my mother is always waiting for me with delicious food. The home-made food makes me feel warm. It is my mother’s love. She cooks for me. My father always brings me present when he come back after business trip. When I get this small things, I feel so lucky to be his daughter, because he remembers me no matter where he goes. My parents cares about me in the small details. It is the best love they give me.

我出生在一个普通的家庭。虽然我的父母不会给我买我想要的一切，但是我知道他们是爱我。每当我放学回家时，妈妈总是做好美味的饭菜等着我。家里做的饭菜让我感到温暖，这是来自母亲的爱，是她专门为我做的饭菜。我爸爸经常会在出差后给我带礼物。拿着这些小东西，我觉得很幸运能够成为他的女儿，因为不管他在哪里都会惦记着我。我的父母总是在小细节上关爱着我。这是他们给我最好的爱。

十年后的我 Me, in Ten Years

Now I am in a middle school, and I wish I could grow up soon. I always imagine what would I do in ten years. At that time, I would have already finished my college and come to the job market. I will work in the office as everybody else. When the work is done, I would come to dinner with my parents. I don’t want to work far away from them, so I will choose to job near home. When I earn money, I can travel around the world, so on the holiday, I will make some plans to enrich my knowledge and broaden my vision by seeing different scenery. This is the life I want in ten years.

我现在在上中学，我希望能够快一点长大。我总是想象十年后的自己会在做什么。那时我已经读完大学了，进入职场。跟其他人一样在办公室上班。下班了就回家跟父母一起吃晚饭。我工作不想离他们太远，所以我会选择在家附近的工作。等我赚了钱，我就可以环游世界。所以在假期，我会计划通过看不同的风景来丰富知识，拓宽视野。这就是十年后我想要的生活。

撒谎 Telling Lies

We are educated to be an honest person and it is the precious merit. But no one can be honest all the time. We will tell lies to cover the mistakes we have made or sometimes we are not telling the truth for making others feeling better. Once I lied to my parents and I realized it was not good to do it. I told my parents I stayed the night at my friend’s home. In fact, we hanged out for fun until midnight. When I saw the horrible things happened in midnight, I realized I should not tell lies to my parents. They will concern about my safety. Since then, I would not lie to my parents anymore.

我们总是被教育要做一个诚实的人，这也是宝贵的美德。但是没有人可以做到一直都诚实。我们总是会通过撒谎言去掩盖我们所犯的错误，或者有时候没把实话说出来会让别人更舒服。我曾经骗过我父母，我知道这是不好的。我告诉我爸妈我晚上一直都在朋友家里，但是事实上，我们出去玩到半夜才回去。当我看到午夜时候发生的可怕事情时，我意识到我不应该对父母说谎了，他们会担心我的安全。从那时起，我再也不欺骗我的父母了。

怎样保持健康 How to Stay Healthy

As we all know, healthy is very important to everybody.But do you really know how to stay healthy? Here are some useful tips. First, we should do exercise if we have time.For example, we can go to swim in the summer holiday. Or we can take a walk after supper.Doing exercise makes us healthy and strong. Second, we should take more vegetables and fruit and less candies. Stop eating junk food and drinking beers. Last but not least, we should go to bed early and wake up early. We should have enough sleep, or we will get sleepy in the day time. If we pay more attention to the tips above, we will have healthier body. I wish everybody has a strong and healthy body.

我们都知道,健康对每个人来说都很重要。但是你知道该如何保持健康吗? 这里有一些实用的建议。首先,我们应该做运动,如果有时间的话。例如,我们可以在暑假的时候去游泳,或者晚饭后去散步。做运动让我们的身体更强壮更健康。第二,我们应该吃更多的蔬菜和水果,少吃糖果。不吃垃圾食品和啤酒。最后,我们应该早睡早起。如果睡不够,第二天就会很疲倦。如果我们都能按照以上的建议注意自己的健康,我们的身体会更棒。我希望每个人都有个强壮和健康的身体。
