Security or Privacy

  Nowadays, with the advance of modern technology, monitor device is no longer a rare thing. And for public security concerns, it has been installed in many public sites in recent years. Although the intention of local authority is for the security of its citizens, attitudes of the public still vary in different groups.

  When talking about the security camera, different people hold different opinions. A widely-accepted idea is that the monitors can record any possible crimes with loyalty and make it much easier to capture the fugitives, on the other hand, it can be seen as a warning to criminals to prevent the committing of crime. However, some people take that as a violation to personal privacy. They think local authorities should keep their tracks private instead of continuous surveillance.

  From where I stand, I think the monitors do make enormous contributions to the public security. They are of a lot help to the decrease of crimes rate and the capture of criminals. But we cannot oversee the privacy concerns for the monitors. What if the system is cracked by someone? So I think the monitors do have their essence to exist and they also require solid protection to what they’re watching!
