find 与 find out 的区别

1. find 主要指偶然发现或通过寻找而找到某人或某物等。如：

Look what I’ve found. 你看我找到什么了。

I have looked for it everywhere but still haven’t found it. 我到处都找过了，但还是没找到。

2. find out 则主要表示通过调查或观察询问等而查明情况或弄清事实等。如：

We must find out the truth of the matter. 我们必须查明事实。

If you pretend, you may be found out. 如果你假装，有可能会被揭露的。

3. find 有时也可指发现某一事实或某一情况等，但它仍与 find out 不同：后者往往暗示通过调查或观察询问等方式去查明情况或弄清事实等，而前者则没有此意味。如：

我发现这婴儿睡着了。

误：I found out the baby was asleep.

正：I found the baby (was) asleep.
