On a cloudy morning, a theft happened on a little boy when he was shopping with a basket. The thieve took the handbag out of the basket quietly. It was too late when the boy reacted to this behaviour because the thieve ran away as fast as he could. He just only asked for help. An old man heard the voice and realized what happened immediately, he used his walking stick to prevent the robber from escaping, luckily it worked. The thieve was trapped by the walking stick and fell down. The policeman came here quickly and arrested him. The old man gave back the handbag to the boy and told the boy he could be careful when he came out alone. The boy showed his great thanks to the brave man.

My opinion on getting pay for doing housework

It has been on hot discussion whether children should get pay for doing housework. As far as I am concerned, getting pay for doing housework is reasonable and beneficial to children’s growth. 

As the only child in my family, I am always encouraged to do various kinds of housework, such as washing clothes and mopping the floor. In return, my parents give me pocket money as rewards. Through this experience, not only do I become more diligent and hardworking, but also I am able to afford what I want to buy. In addition, as the old saying goes, “No pains, no gains”, I am fully aware of the value of labour and happiness in the process of doing housework.

In conclusion, I firmly support the view that it is essential for children to get pay for doing housework, which contributes to our all-round development.

I finished a task successfully

The memory that I first finished the speech my teacher assigned to me still stays fresh in my mind. I used to be very shy and rarely speak in front of class. But when I was in Grade 7, my teacher asked me to give a speech to my classmates. Standing on the stage and looking at all my classmates made me very nervous. I started my presentation with a shaking voice. Suddenly I saw my teacher gazing at me with an encouraging looking. With his encouragement, I become more and more confident and finally finished this speech in a applause. This is an very important experience for me because I not only overcame my fear but also learnt that the courage to try is also very important.

My father is the man I respect most.Stern as he may be,he never fails to show his care and consideration.Once I broke a neighbor's window. I would be in trouble, I thought. Seeing nobody around,I ran away immediately.When Dad came home,he noticed my nervousness and asked me what had happened.

I could only tell him the truth.Rather than scold me,he praised my honesty and then encouraged me to apologize to our neighbor.
