英语教学经验演讲稿

Hello,my respectful teachers. My  name is Lu Yang.I am very happy to have this opportunity to share with you my experience about how I teach English.

As we know ，interest is the best teacher.New Curriculum Standards demands that we should stimulate students’interest of learning English.It should take the leading position.If we want to teach English well ,we should pay attention to students’learning interest.I always take some measures to stumilate their interest.First,I try to establish hamonious,friendly relationship with students.I am friendly ,sympathetic and encouraging toward my students.I really know if I want to be an excellent teacher ,we will have patience,confidence ,imagination,enthusiasm,humor and creativity .I respect my students,care for them,and become good friend.I spend a lot of time knowing the individual differences among students in the learning process .I always give them appropriatw encouragement to reinforce their initiatives .Second,to innovate on teaching style and create an enjoyable learning surroundings, I pay more attention to teaching methods.I often  use activities-based teaching method and communicative approach and some other useful methods to create an English—speaking environment.I give everyone a chance to speak. Students should be given enough time to communicate with each other in authentic situations .I realize this .I try to make my English classes activity-oriented and student-centered .Students can speak English as often as possible in my class .I encourage them to act out dialogs and retell the passages to develop their language skills. I focus my attention on how to encourage students speak English fluently and more often.I think English learning is mainly a matter of practice ,but not a matter of teaching .In other words ,the use of English is more important than knowing about the usage of language .My role should be as a facilitator and helper to guide students to develop effective learning habits .In my classes ,  I try to make  them understoodable by the display of drawings and photographs and other visual images. They take part in kinds of activities to strengthen listening,speaking,reading and writing skills,such as, free talk,short play,English songs,duty report,etc.I occasionally alter my own teaching style to match the learning style of the students.

I give my students English names. This encourages an English language environment .It gives a closer relationship with the language. 

Preparation is vital.I think carefully about what I am going to do in my classes and how I am going to organize the teaching and learning .I think a textbook is an aid and not a bible to be rigidly followed day in and day out .I always prepare a lesson plan that contains teaching strategies that focus students on the goal of the lesson .

In the classroom management,I try to engage students in the learning process and provide opportunities for feedback and to use group and individual activities that will bring my students’initiative into full play.I manage to my classes fun ,try to create a happy and warm English learning atmosphere .I always found English learning groups from the beginning,thus students can work together and help each other.Because of their cooperation ,some problems can be solved by themselves.It also can foster a spirit of cooperation and friendship in the class .While the students are working in pairs or groups ,I always spend this time going around the class ,join in sometimes ,and offer encouragement,advice or suggestions .Make note on any important mistakes I hear while I’m they’re trying to express themselves.I encourage them ,not discourage them .About listening ,I ask my students to listen to the tapes often ,follow and imitate normal ,natuaral ,good speaking English .

Parents can be great motivators of English learning towards their children .So I use parents to aid my teaching .I encourage the students to take their newly—learned English home .Tell my students to repeat what they have learned today in class to their parents when they arrive home .They can sing a newly—learned song . I encourage my students to learn English outside the classroom ,and I require the students to become actively engaged in constructing their own knowledge . 

I have come to realize to be a good teacher is not easy.But I believe if I keep on trying ,I will be .
