Show students the importance of guessing the meanings of new words while they are reading English materials.

Step 2: Self-discovering

1.Read through the examples and think about how to deal with the new words.

Step 3: Self-digestion

1.Show students some exercises and guide them how to get the new words’ meanings via different ways.

2. Summarize the rules

Step 4: self-practice

Finish some exercises to consolidate what they have learnt.
