Step 1. Warm-up and revision

1)Daily greetings to the students

T: Hello. What’s your name?S: My name is …

(2) Revision

T: What’s this in English? (Show some pictures or use the PPT.)

S: It’s a jacket.

T: Spell it, please. S: J-A-C-K-E-T, jacket.

T: What color is it?

S: It’s purple.

Step 2. Presentation

1. T: What’s this? S: It’s an orange.

T: What are these? S: They are oranges.T: What’s th at? S: It’s a jacket.

T: What are those? S: They are jackets.

Explanation: 名词分为可数名词和不可数名词两类。可数名词有单数和复数之分,变为复数形式时,一般情况是在单数名词后加“-s”,如:pen→pens, parent→parents;

T: What’s this? S: (Help the Ss to say) It’s a picture/photo.

T: Yes, this is a picture of a family. Can you see this woman? This is my mother. (板书mother) She is my mother. Read after me, mother.

1) T: In my family, my grandpa is the oldest. (板书oldest并用body language表述) Who is the oldest in your family?

T: Every family has a family tree. Can you finish the family tree in 1a?

S: Yes.

While the Ss are working, move around to see what the Ss write.
