1. The Colour of Autumn

    Autumn comes, it gets cooler and cooler. The sky is blue and the clouds are white. You would say autumn is blue and white.

    Look! Birds are flying from the north to the south. The leaves are yellow. Some are hanging on the trees, some are on the ground, some are dancing in the wind. Someone would say autumn is yellow.

    There are so many fruits in autumn. pears, peaches, mangos, oranges and so on. They’re fresh and healthy.

    Oh! I see. Autumn is a harvest season. Autumn is colorful. What a beautiful season!

2. Don't Wait for Tomorrow

    I get used to finishing my task in the last minute and my excuse is always tomorrow. 

    I think time is enough for me and I want to play computer games first. 

    As a result, I feel so hard to finish the task. 

    So I want to make some changes. 

    I must finish the task first and then to do other funny things. 

    Never wait for tomorrow or I can’t finish my job. 

3. After Dinner

    I have dinner at about 6:30 p.m. 

    After dinner, I often go to the outside to play games with my friends. 

    We live near to each other, so we always play together. 

    Sometimes, we play table tennis or badminton. 

    Sometimes, we ride on bicyles. 

    Anyway, anything could be funny when we are together.

    I usually go home at 8:00 and then take a shower. 

    After that, I spend some time in study or watch TV. 

    At 10:00p.m., I go to sleep.

4. The Change of Environment

    When we go to school, teachers always teach us to protect the environment, so as to protect human being. 

    Today, the environment has been polluted badly. 

    The river in my hometown becomes dirty and no one will play there. 

    We can barely see birds flying in the sky. 

    The change of environment needs us to improve. 

5. Learn to Swim

    As summer vacation is coming, my parents have made some plans for me, because they want me to learn something useful. 

    This first thing they want me to do is to learn swimming. 

    This is an important skill. It can save my life if I fall into the water.

    I also want to learn swimming, so that I can do many cool sports. 

    I am so excited about the lesson.

6. My Home

    My home is on the eighth floor. 

    There are two bedrooms, a kitchen and a living room. 

    There is a beautiful sofa, a big TV and a grey table in the living room. There is a fridge, a cabinet and a big table in the kitchen. 

    I’m a child. I have a nice bedroom. 

    In my bedroom, there is a bed, a closet, an air-conditioner and so on. My closet is green. My bed is blue. I love my bedroom very much.

7. Friendship 

    Everybody need friends. It’s very important for us to know how to make friends. 

    How to make friends? At first, we should be friendly to each other, and make strangers at home, wherever they are, and think more of others than ourselves. We shouldn’t quarrel with our friends if we have different opinions with them. 

    Don’t believe the man who leaves you when you are in danger because everyone knows “A friend in need is a friend indeed.”

8. Drinking Hot Water

    When I am sick, the doctor always asks me to drink more hot water. 

    Now, drinking hot water has been most people’s habit, while my uncle tells me that the foreign people get used to drinking cold water. This is very different. 

    As I am so curious the world, I want to travel around the world someday.

9. Kind Heart

    There is an old lady lives next to my house. 

    Everyday I can see her wandering around the main gate. 

    My mother tells me that she is retired and has nothing to do, so she likes to talk to others, or offers help. 

    Once she helps me to carry my luggage. I am so thankful to her. 

    She is so kind and I like to talk to her.

10. Sky in the Morning

    Today, early in the morning, I go out of my house with my grandma. 

    She walks to the square and then dances with her friends. 

    The sky is so clean and beautiful. 

    The sun is shining with red color. 

    The scenery catches my attention. I have never noticed it before. 

    The city in the morning is quiet and comfortable.

11. My Favorite Holiday

    My favorite holiday is Mid-autumn Day. Do you know why?

    Firstly, it’s day for family gathering.

    On Mid-autumn Day, families will stay together and eat a big dinner.

    My families always make very delicious food.

    After dinner, families will enjoy the beautiful full moon.

    We often have a good talk and eat moon cakes and fruits.

    For me, I like moon cakes very much. They are so tasty.

    Besides, the Mid-autumn Day is in autumn. It’s my favorite season.

12. My Favorite Sport

    I like doing sports very much. My favorite sport is swimming.

    I often go to swim with my good friend Lily. She likes swimming too. And she is very good at it. She always swims better than me. 

    When I am swimming in the pool, I am very happy. I look like a lovely fish in the pond. 

    I enjoy swimming, because swimming can make me strong and healthy. It can also bring me a lot of happiness.

    Of course, I like watching this sport. I hope I will become a swimmer in the future.

13. When I Grow Up

    When I grow up, I want to be an artist. I want to use my colorful pencil to draw this wonderful world to everyone.

Some years ago, I did not know how to use the pencil to draw the picture for my mother and my father. One day, I found I could draw animals, people, mountains, seasons with the colorful pencils with teacher’s help. 

As a result, I want to be an artist. Even though this dream is very small, but I still make my effort. 

I can study drawing hardly from now on. And then I think my dream will come true.

    When I grow up, I want to be an artist. What about you? What’s your dream?

14. Spring Festival

    Far and away the most important holiday in China is Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese New Year. 

    To the Chinese people it is as important as Christmas to people in the West. the dates for this annual celebration are determined by the lunar calendar rather than the Gregorian calendar, so the timing of the holiday varies from late January to early February.

To the ordinary Chinese, the festival actually begins on the eve of the lunar New Year's Day and ends on the fifth day of the first month of the lunar calendar. 

But the 15th of the first month, which normally is called the Lantern Festival, means the official end of the Spring Festival in many parts of the country.

15. Water Is Important

    Water is very important to us. If there is no water, we will die. 

    We can eat nothing for few days, but we must drink water every day. Besides, if there is no water, the plants will not grow, and the animals will not live. Therefore, there will no food for us. 

    But the water has been severely polluted nowadays. Much water is not suitable for drinking. 

    For our human beings and our planet, we must protect water. Without it, there would be no life any longer in earth. 

16. My Family

    This is my family. There are four people in my family. My grandmother, my father, my mother and me.

    My grandmother has short white hair. She looks very nice.     

    My father has short black hair and small eyes. He looks very fat, so I often call him “fat man”. He works at a factory.     

    My mother works at a L.D.T. My mother has long black hair. She likes sports and traveling, so I often go on sports with my mother. 

    On holidays my family often go to travel. I study at Chuiyangliu Primary School. We are very happy.

17. Collecting Stamps is My Hobby

    Everybody has his hobby, such as singing, dancing, photo-taking, drawing, reading or guitar playing. 

    My hobby is collecting stamps. Why? Because my favorite hobby gives me a lot of pleasure, and I can learn a lot about geography and history from stamps.

    I have already collected about 800 stamps since I was in Grade Two. 

    Yesterday my uncle sent me a beautiful Canadian stamp from Montreal. I was too excited to sleep last night.

18. A Trip to the Country

    One Sunday my Mother made me take my little young brother to a trip to the country. She bade me take good care of him. 

    While we were walking along the road, the sun was shining brightly and the breeze was blowing gently. We saw the beautiful flowers smiling at us and heard the birds singing their sweet songs on the trees. The scenery was indeed very beautiful. 

    When we felt tired, we returned home. We saw our mother waiting for us at the door. 

19. Doing Housework

    Someday, our teacher tells me that we should help our parents with the housework, so I decide to help my mother. 

    After school, I ran to home, saying to mom that I want to share housework, she is very happy, she gives me the job to clean the window. I think it will be easy, but when I do it, I find it hard. 

    I know I should help my mother.

20. Planting Trees

    Yesterday was Tree Planting Day. The teachers asked us to plant trees at the corner of our playground. At 3:00 in the afternoon, we got there. 

Our teacher showed us how to plant trees, then we started to do it. 

Some dug the pits, some put trees in them and others watered them. 

We planted a lot of trees. When we finished our work, it was nearly dark.
