瘦西湖英文介绍

瘦西湖(Slender West Lake)，位于扬州市北郊，现有游览区面积100公顷左右，1988年被列为“具有重要历史文化遗产和扬州园林特色的国家重点名胜区”。2010年被授予中国旅游界含金量最高荣誉——全国AAAAA级景区，成为扬州首家国家5A级旅游景区。 

Slender West Lake (Slender West Lake), located in north of Yangzhou City, existing tour area of 100 hectares[ˈhektɛəz] , in 1988 by the State Council as "has important historical and cultural heritage and Yangzhou characteristic of national key scenic garden". 2010 was awarded the highest honor in Chinese tourism industry -- the national AAAAA level scenic spot, Yangzhou has become the first national 5A level scenic spots.

瘦西湖景区 现有：御码头、五亭桥、西园、 冶春园(a boy with his girl go out for sighting.)、绿杨村、卷石洞天、西园曲水、四桥烟雨、虹桥、长春岭、 琴室、月观、梅岭春深、五亭桥、白塔晴云、二十四桥景区等景点。

《扬州鼓吹词》说：“是桥因古之二十四美人吹箫于此，故名”。据说二十四桥原为吴家砖桥，周围山青水秀，风光旖旎，本是文人欢聚，歌妓吟唱之地。唐代时有二十四歌女，一个个姿容媚艳，体态轻盈，曾于月明之夜来此吹箫弄笛，巧遇杜牧，其中一名歌女特地折素花献上，请杜牧赋诗。
