I have been living in the dorm since I began my junior high school .while having a good knowledge of life in the dorm,I have to came to realise that living at home and living in the dorm are quite distinct from each other.the differences I feel most strongly about ,between living at home and living in the dorm ,lie in the numbers ,age and the relationship.
In the first place ,there is a tremendous contrast between the number of people living at home and living in the dorm.at home ,there are only three or four people.each of us has a bedroom and we have more space.wheras there are six people in my dorm .we have to share a desk and we have little space to share so that our activities in the dorm are limited.at home ,wo must do many things together ,such as eating and visiting relatives .but in the dorm ,we are more free.
Another thing I strongly feel about is the strikingly different ageof people living together.we live with our parents at home ,and they are older than us fou 20or more years.they care for us very much and are concerned about our study and life.they influences ua directly.but we have little commen topic.however ,our roomates in the dorm are of the same age as us .which makes the communication more flutenly.besides,we almost have the same opinions about cloths and other items.so it is easier for us to cooperation.
Then ,I can sense the different relationships between members living together.living with parents ,we are always child and needed to be well taken care of.parents will not let us do much homework and try try their best to make a good home atmosphere.living with roommates ,we wre friends or classmates.there is no longer anything parents arrenged well for us.we begin to deal with things arround us and try to get along welll with rommates.the things we do turn to love others form being loved.in sum ,I love living home ,while I enjoy the colorful life in the dorm .despite their differences, living at home and living in the dorm both have their own charms.
