Dear Sir or Madam,
I am an Associate Professor of Zhejiang University of Media and Communications, in charge of scheming the major of Information Management and System and its daily management. As Mr. Shou’s major teacher, I have a good deal of contact with him over the past four years. Throughout our frequent interaction, Mr. Shou did leave me a deep impression as a smart, self-motivated gentleman with exceptional presentation skills and analytical ability.
I taught Mr. Shou the courses of “Information Management” and “Computer Network Technology”. Mr. Shou was the representative of these two courses and did quite well in these two courses with the score of 92 in “Information Management” and 93.6 in “Computer Network Technology”, which ranked Top 5 in the class. Computer Engineering is a discipline that demands of a high level of theoretical comprehension and flexible thinking abilities, and Mr. Shou excelled in both.
Striving to delve into this discipline, Mr. Shou made a full use of the experiments and after-class time to make simulations with the help of BOSON stimulator and virtual machine, which displayed his great potential in studies. In addition, he has a good capacity of English, which arm him a strong point to his Computer engineering study abroad. Now he is working hard for the preparation of the CCNA test.
Mr. Shou’s another strong point is excellent organization ability. He once contacted one large company and convinced the manager to offer an internship opportunity for their whole class. What’s more, he also asked the manager of NC’s Technology Department to deliver a lecture for their class. This practice highly benefited the students have a deeper understanding to ERP and got the highest remarks in this internship, also won the recognition in public.
He was especially active in almost all group discussions, case studies and project work, acting a good helper in my course to help the students gain an in-depth understanding of theories, as well as to cultivate their critiquing capability. He is a good bridge and communicator between students and teachers, which won him a gentle image in the class. Usually, we will start a happy and deep academic conversation for a long time, which reflected his special personal opinions to the study.
In addition, he likes sports, especially, basketball and badminton. He was also a member of the School Soccer Club. Active in taking part in the sports meeting, he tried his best in the honor of the class, which showed his good teamwork spirit.
When he told me the idea to have a master study of Computer Engineering in Canada, I was delighted to see he had made his first step in his future success. Since he has been paying great importance to the latest development of this field, I believe he will make a good performance in his future study.
Here I’d like to recommend this outstanding student of mine to your programme. I firmly believe that his potential will be fully developed in the nurturing academic atmosphere of your university. If you need any more information about him, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely yours,
Yu Chenghang
