   I love to travel! I usually travel around when I have a school break to take a trip with my parents. I took a trip to Hainan with my parent last winter vacation. We got there by air. Yep, we just came back from HaiNan. My family spent the whole week enjoying the beach and sunlight. Anyway, there are many interesting experiences about Hainan that I have to get down. Travelling is so popular and prevalent in the modern society. Travelling is considered as a style of fashion. Travelling can widen my knowledge and broaden my visions. Through traveling we can acquire the knowledge of geography, customs, local distinctive cultures.

With the development of the modernization and urbanization, the society is flooded with fashion and infatuation. Most teenagers are crazy about chasing after the latest vogue—music and movies stars’ clothing and behaviour. They get into imitating their idols’ gestures and the way of talking. I get addicted into the rap music, which is also called as tongue twister. Rap music can lighten up the flame and passion in my heart. Music can greatly influence on my feelings and manners. When I take on lots of pressure, I can relieve and stress out through humming the words of song. 

Some abnormal teens are out of control following up with their idols blindly. They tend to copy their actions and ideas. My parents often blame me for wasting too much time into pop songs. Most popular songs are written about love—a theme most youngsters care about, which will interfere with my study and distract my concentration.

Money is considered as the most powerful and important possessions in life. In many people’s opinions, everything in the world such as fancy cars, magnificent mansions can be bought with money but there are certain things that can’t be bought with money. A millionaire who suffered from AIDS was willing to buy his health at the expense of his entire property. Such as devoted friendship and real honour can’t be bought with money.

   Money has two sides—positive & negative. Those who make money through their own effort lead to a happy life. However, it is also the major cause of crime and violence in the world—robbery, theft, and even murder are the most commonly committed for the sake of money. 

In the past, many things served as money--shells, dog’s teeth, cattle, and even slaves. Nowadays, the paper bills and metal coins used in our country. Money served several functions. First, as a means of exchange-- money is used to trade for goods and services. Second, as a store of value—people use money to save their wealth for the future.

We can buy many materials in daily life. Such as best medicine, fancy cars, nice houses, and delicious foods. When I was a little girl, I thought money was a wonderful thing. It meant candy, toys, and beautiful clothes. Now I know the values of money better. It is money that gives what we want. If I have lots of money, I would donate to the Hope Project in order to help those needy kids.

  Some people say that the best way to raise children is to encourage them to be independent thinkers. Others disagree and argue that children need to be taught rules and regulations in order to let them successful. In other word, children should either be granted more freedom, or be given more rules. I tend to agree with a firm and strict regulation. 

   The rules and regulations are enacted and implemented to restrain us from committing a crime and breaking the rules. The tamed students are bound to obey it. It is obvious to me that an uncontrolled child who does dangerous matters can cause injury to himself and to others. So parents and educational institutions should not give children a free hand, especially when they can’t tell right from wrong. My school has a very firm and strict rules and regulations, which every student must rigidly abide by it. 

Students shouldn’t be late for the class twice. They must wear the school’s uniform every weekdays. They are not allowed to eat snacks and chat with one another or run wild while teachers are having the class. Moreover, when the students bump into their superiors, they should greet up and bend over towards teachers. Respect and politeness are the basic moral and criterion to every student.

I don’t think that the excessively strict rules and regulations can correct up the children’s misbehaviours and misdeeds. Beating and verbal abuse are a violent way of treating children. It does more harm and causes more hurt than good to children’s physical and psychological health. Exactly speaking, children are also human beings. They have self-respect and should be respected. Parents should understand and guide them by advising, persuading, and reasoning.

Like traffic laws, public regulations and awareness, corporation’s rules and regulations. Car drivers have to stop over in the front of the red light and run through the intersection after the red traffic light turns into the green light. The car drivers who ran in the red light will be paid the fine and be deducted their points. The person who got seriously drunk can’t be allowed to drive on the street. 

In the public area—railway station, airport, hotel, and government institutes, person shouldn’t be regardless of spitting on the ground. They can’t litter garbage everywhere. Don’t speak in a very loud voice and smoke. Employees should clock in and out during the working-time. Some companies don’t allow their female employees to leave long hairstyle and wear the high heels. Don’t allow male employees to wear occasional clothes go to work.

As the proverb says, “no one knows the value of health until he loses it.” It is clear that health is the foundation of one’s future success. If you become sick, it is nearly impossible to pursue your career effectively. On the other hand, if you are healthy and strong, you can go all out to overcome the obstacles.

What should we do to maintain and enhance our health? First, we should do exercises everyday to build up our muscles. Second, we may as well keep good hours. If we get up early and go to the bed early. We can have enough time to sleep and enjoy fresh air every morning. Sporting activities have an important place for building up the people’s health. I like swimming. I am a swimming enthusiast because I think that dipping in cool water on hot summer holidays is not only a great joy but also a chance of stretching my muscles. Researches that getting plenty of exercise make the heart beat faster and the lungs work harder. This strengthens heart, reduces the chance of heart attack, and helps lower blood pressure. Getting rid of bad habits like smoking and drinking alcohol is also an important way to keep healthy.

There are several factors that might explain my poor health. First, I seldom eat properly. My favourite foods are potato chips, cookies, and candy bars. Second, I get very little exercise. I prefer watching sports to participating in them. I work late into the midnight and get up early.

A healthy person should have both physical & mental healthiness. Some bad habits would have a bad effect on mental healthiness—smoking and drinking, teens often start smoking to deal with emotional disorders. We should consistently control our temper. Person who is hot temper easily tends to suffer from heart attack.

Too much exercise can also be harmful. If a person expects himself beyond his capacity to win in sports, he risks damaging his body systems by running and jumping too much. Violent athletic sports, of course, can be even more harmful. There is no doubt that health brings happiness especially in modern society. If a man is in poor health, he will have many troubles and suffer a great deal. He has to spend too much time and money to go to a hospital for examinations and treatment. Health is a condition of wisdom, and a sign of cheerfulness.

People should get enough rest and not stay up late into the night get up too early. Several bad habits such as excessive smoking and coffee-drinking will do harm to our health. We can find some ways out to relieve our pressures through go outing, holding a party, chatting with your friends.
