(I think the prevent the stowaway most important is prevention^ But unfortunately we carriage stowaway on board, I must be report to the company for instruction^ though I know that give rise to trouble to company )•

a.please describe what are the two fundamental aims/purposes of this Code? (for safe management and pollution prevention)

6.when your vessel has arrived a discharging port, but the agent didn't present the Original B/L(s), can you deliver the cargo or not and what will you do? If some damaged cargo was found during discharging operation, the first thing in your mind is ?

7.vessel is going to replenish bunkers at Jeddah anchorage where water depth is over 80 meters at the anchorage, how to anchor your ship safety? (as experience I have to use windlass let the anchor to the bottom, and all time stand by the engine for emergence )

& unfortunately, there was an oil spill occurred (about 200 liters) whilst vessel is bunkering at Long Beach・

How do you handle this accident? Whom you should report to? What is the content of the initial report? (first we try to gel back the spill oil, meantime report to uscg, the report content the oil spill position, about how much oil spill, what assistance to be required and how were happened, ect)

general

3・ how do you take over the vsPs command? What checks you make to confirm dtls as mentioned on the handover report by outgoing master? Answer: (Dgeneral discussion with outgoing master, ask for any particular problem or precaution regard vsl/charter etc. (2)Inquire abt company policy, present charter, cargo dtls/charter etc. (3) check abt food money inventories, when last checked by master himself. (4)Go through files / survey status in general. (5)Ask for outgoing master's opinion abt capability of C/O, C/E and generally abt all other officers / crew・(6)Any other urgent matters outgoing master informed me.

4.what checks you make to confirm details as mentioned on the hand over report by outgoing master? Answer: (l)personally checking N verifies ROB of cash & provision. (2)And 讦 possible slop chest also. (3) Check N verify survey status / certificates・ Check working status of navigation Equipment and any other items where doubtful.

5・ how will you react to any discrepancy between actual figures and what is written in hand over report -e.g・ shortage in provision? Answer: (l)firstly, try to find out reason for shortage. (2)If difference is small amount and manageable and can be made up in following 1-2 months, I will accept i匚(3)If difference is large, Fll ask outgoing master to state actual figures and sign for actual figures only. (4)Inform company immediately of the shortage.

2・ how to take good care of a lot of equipment of the ship in good condition? (take good care of a lot of equipment is very important because these are essential to the sea worthiness and safety of the ship. In order to ensure good working condition of that equipment, we should take the measure in three ways, first, we should examine the building and fixing quality of the equipment during the ship construction before we take over the ship. Secondly, we should maintain them carefully and regularly and repair or replace the worn-out parts in time when those equipment are in operation. Thirdly, thorough check or even general overhaul.
