Under the background of Internet technology developing, more and more people are inclined to shop online in their daily life. Actually, online shopping provides us a lot of benefits, also some bad effects. As the saying goes, every coin has two sides. The advantages and disadvantages of online shopping are as follows.

Online shopping has many advantages. It gives us great convenience. There are all kinds of productions online, so we can buy almost everything we need through online shopping. And we can leisurely browse, choose and buy goods online at home, instead of going out. It saves our money. When we shop online, we can compare products for different prices. We can read others’ comments about the items. With these knowledge, we will make better choices. Also, we don’t have to pay for gas to drive out and parking. It saves us plenty of time. With online shopping, we do not bother going to many stores for what we have to buy at a certain time. We can shop without time-limit online. In this way, we may have more spare time to rest at home. It offers a safe purchasing environment. We can finish a direct transaction with the seller, which can prevent our privacy from leaking out. What’s more, it also brings happiness to us. There are many beautiful pictures of goods for us to enjoy. Sometimes, we surprisingly find some special and interesting items. We will gain great pleasure from the online products-selecting process.

However, online shopping also has lots of disadvantages. First, we may waste more time and money, if we are in poor self-control. We will be  more likely to spend a lot of time and money on online shopping because of its great convenience. Sometimes, we may browse the products online half a day. And, we may buy many things not because they are necessary but are attracting. Second, we may get something actually in poor quality. When we shop online, we can only see the products through the pictures which are offered by the sellers, instead of touching them. The real goods may not always be the same as what we have seen on the internet. So, it is possible for us to receive inferior goods. Third, we may throw ourselves into a dangerous purchasing environment. When we pay for the money online, we may leak out our personal messages on the internet. Our online account will be attacked by the hackers and thus to suffer from property loss. Fourth, we maybe cheated. Some shops on the internet are not registered. They will never deliver anything to us even after getting money from us. Once cheated, we will find that we have nowhere to complain. Finally, we may bring many useless things to our home. Sometimes,we buy products without rational thinking, in which the necessity and practicability are taken into serious account. We buy them because we are attracted by them.

In conclusion, online shopping offers great benefits but also bad effects.We have to weigh the advantages of online shopping against the disadvantages and build a healthy consumption concept.
