Once,a true love appeared in my life but I didn't appreciate it.I let it slip away unconsciously, only to find myself regretting when it was too late to do anything. Nothing else in the world can be more painful than this.Let your sword cut into my throat!Don't hesitate! If the God should give me a chance again,I would tell the girl only three words:“I love you!”If our love had to be set a time limit,I wish that it would be a million years.、初中、高中时家长和老师曾经真诚地劝我要好好学习,但我没有重视。
My teachers and parents persuaded me sincerely to study hard when I was in the primary school, junior high school and senior high school, but I didn…t attach much importance to this.I regretted almost to death when I received the notice of enrollment from an unknown university.Nothing else in the world can be more painful than this.If the God should give me a chance again,I would tell my teachers and parents only four words:“I wanna study hard!”If I had to set a limit for my study,I wish that it would be25hours a day!
My teachers persuaded me sincerely to study hard when I studied in the University, but I didn…t appreciate this and I only pursued60points in each course.I regretted almost to death when I got my job and found myself knowing almost nothing about what I do.Nothing else in the world can be more painful than this.If the God should give me a chance again,I would tell my teachers only four words:“I wanna study hard!”If I had to set a limit for my study,I wish that it would be25hours a day!
Do you mind my opening the door?
Do you mind my opening the door?
It‟s fine.I‟d like to.
Can machine think? How can it be?
John and his men have solved the most difficult problem.
Many man made substances are replacing certain natural materials in our life.)
It was brought to Spain.
Bell taught at a school there.
Did you think that he might call on us?
Young man should not be standing idle.
The laser technology has been greatly developed in industry.)
The computer displays a question on the screen.
The two students tried it again and again.
When their money ran out they asked some businessmen to help them.
Four times four is sixteen.
They found the container empty.
We consider copper to have greater conductivity.
Think of the end before you begin.Where there is a will, there is a way.
I hope you’ll succeed.,
April15,│1912,│the Titanic,│the largest ship in the world,│struck an iceberg│off New found land│and sank in the early morning darkness,│taking over│1500 lives.
The luxury liner│was making│her first Atlantic voyage│from England to New York│when the tragedy occurred.Of the2,223aboard,│only about700people│were saved.Millions of dollars│in jewelry and furs│went down│with the ship.The Titanic│was thought│to be unsinkable.in the night,│the captain of the ship│had been warned│that there were icebergs│in the area.The warning│was apparently ignored│as the big liner│speed on through the darkness,│heading swiftly toward its destiny.
At11:40p.m.│the Titanic,│a man-made giant,│rammed the white, silent giant of nature│and sank in two and one half hours.Never will the world forget│that tragic event.(Martin Luther King Jr. 1929~1968)
I say you today,│my dear friends,│so even though we face the difficulties│today and tomorrow.│I still have a dream.│It is a dream│that is deeply rooted│in the American dream.│I have a dream│that my four little children│will one day live│in a nation│where they will not be judged│by the color of their skin│but by the content│of their character.(Francis Bacon, 1561—1626)
Studies serve for delight,│for ornament,│and for ability.│Their chief use for delight,│is in privateness and retiring;│for ornament,│is in discourse;│and for ability,│is in the judgment, and disposition of business.│For expert men can execute,│and perhaps judge of particulars,│one by one;│but the general counsels,│and the plots and marshalling of affairs,│come best,│from those that are learned.│To spend too much time in studies│is sloth; to use them too much for ornament,│is affectation;│to make judgment wholly by their rules,│is the humor of a scholar.│They perfect nature,│and are perfected by experience:
for natural abilities are like natural plants,│that need pruning,by study;│and studies themselves,│do give forth directions too much│at large,│except they be bounded in │by experience.│Crafty men contemn studies,│simple
men admire them,│and wise men use them;│for they teach not their own use;│but that is a wisdom without them,│and above them,│won by observation.│Read not to contradict and confute;│nor to believe and take for granted;│nor to find talk and discourse;│but to weigh and consider.│Some books are to be tasted,│others to be swallowed,│and some few to be chewed and digested;│that is,│some books│are to be read│only in parts;│others to be read,│but not curiously;│and some few to be read wholly,│and with diligence and attention. Some books│also may be read by deputy,│and extracts made of them bothers;│but that would be│only in the less important arguments,│and the meaner sort of books,│else distilled books│are like common distilled waters,│flashy things.
Reading make a full man;│conference a ready man;│and writing an exact man.│And therefore,│if a man write little,│he had need have a great memory;│if he confer little,│he had need have a present wit:│and if he read little,│he had need have much cunning,│to seem to know,│that he doth not.│Histories make men wise;│poets witty;│the mathematics subtitle;│natural philosophy deep;│moral grave;│logic and rhetoric able to contend.│Abeunt studia in mores.Nay,there is no stand or impediment│in the wit,│but may be wrought out│by fit studies;│like as diseases│of the body,│may have appropriate exercises.│Bowling is good│for the stone and reins;│shooting for the lungs and breast;│gentle walking for the stomach;│riding for the head;│and the like.│So if a man's wit be wandering,│let him study the mathematics;│for in demonstrations,│if his wit be called away│never so little,│he must begin again.│If his wit│be not apt to distinguish or find differences,│let him study the Schoolmen;│for they are cymini sectors.│If he be not apt to beat│over matters,│and to call up one thing│to prove and illustrate another,│let him study │the lawyers'cases.│So every defect of the mind,│may have a special receipt.
