Teaching Objectives:

To know how to change adjectives to adverbs

To review the functions of adjectives and adverbs

To review the comparative and superlative of adjectives and adverbs.

To learn some special sentences such as, as…as. the more…the more.more and more. 

Teaching procedures:

Step1 Lead-in:   

1. display a some pictures of spring 

T:Spring has come. Do you want to go on a spring trip? I know last weekend you went on a spring trip. What did you see? How did you do?

Ask some students to say something about their trip.

Part1

Presentation

I went on a spring trip last weekend.(show some pictures of my trip to sutdents)

Last weekend , I went on a spring trip with my friends Lucy and Tom.

I was very happy, because I played with my friends happily.

We use adjectives to describe somebody or something. We use adverbs to describe verbs, adjectives or a sentences.

The weather was fine. I felt very comfortable.

The weather was fine. I walked comfortably.

There were lots of beautiful flowers on both sides of the road. 

They grew beautifully.

We flew kites, My kite flew high. Lucy’s flew higherthan mine. Tom’s flew the highest .

I rode a horse well, Lucy rode better than me. Tom rode the best of all.

Show some photos in the park

There are various(各种各样的) birds in the park, Their voice sounds good/nice/beautiful(好听).

If you want to watch the birds, please walk quietly(轻轻地) towards them

The higher(high) you climb, the more (much) beautiful view you will see. (翻译句子) The more… the more…

It’s much easier (easy) for us to climb down the mountain. (用much，even，far，a little，a bit 修饰比较级)

In the park I saw some different behaviours.

Part4 cycling race

We had a cycling race. Tom rode as fast as Lucy.(和Lucy一样快). I didn’t ride as fast as them(比他们快). So I tried my best to catch up with them. I rode faster and faster(越来越快). At last, I caught up with them. Unluckily I fell off the bicycle_ (不幸地我从车上摔倒了).

Lucy and Tom helped me get up. They said “The faster you ride, the more danger you will face”(你骑得越快就越危险). I thanked them.

（让学生通过翻译知道句型，as+原级+as.. 比较级+比较级。 The+比较级…the +比较级）

Part 5diary

Saturday April. 9th.

    This morning, I got up early and went to a park with my friends. We saw many beautiful and colourful flowers on both sides of the road. First, we began flying kites, but flying kites was not so easy as we thought. Then the wind got stronger and stronger. Our kites flew high. The higher the kites flew, the smaller it looked. I felt excited to see my kites flying the highest of all. We had a cycling race because we thought it was the least dangerous of all the activities. Unluckily, I fell off the bicycle, but my friends helped me kindly.

We were full of happiness after seeing the beautiful view and I think we should protect the nature as much as we can.
