Introduction
The MBTCP DAServer is one of Wonderware's® new generation of Archestra™-based products that provides connectivity to the following plcs via Ethernet:
∙Quantum
∙TSX Momentum
∙Modicon Micro
Note: The above three plcs are the only ones currently supported by this release.
This technote provides step by step instructions for configuring each faceplate (screen) within the SMC (System Management Console) where the DAS MBTCP DASServer resides.
Adding a New_TCPIP_PORT_000
1.Open the SMC from the Start menu (Start/Programs/Wonderware).

2.Expand the ArchestrA.DASMBTCP.1 server icon.
3.Right-click Configuration (just below Archestra.DASMBTCP.1) and select Add.
A new faceplate will appear labeled New_TCPIP_PORT_000 (Figure 2 below):

Note: You can right click on any of the entries below the Configuration entry above and rename it to whatever you like.
Adding a "New_ModbusBridge_000" Object
1.Right Click New_TCPIP_ Port_000 and select Add a ModbusBridgeObject (Figure 3 below):

You should now see a new faceplate appear labeled New_ModbusBridge_000 Object (Figure 4 below):

Note: You will need to enter in the IP Address of the BRIDGE DEVICE, as shown in Figure 4 above.
Adding a PLC Object
1.Right click the New_ModbusBridge_000 icon and add a plc device. (In the following figure, a Modicon_Micro_000 object is selected. It is a 5 digit device):

2.Enter the Slave device of the plc in the PLC unit ID field (Figure 6 above).
Set Up a Topic Definition in the Device Group
Setting up a Topic Definition must be done so that Suitelink/DDE clients can communicate with the MBTCP DAServer.
1.Select the Device Groups tab (Figure 6, above).
2.Right click in the first row, and select Add.

3.Change Topic_0 to whatever you want by right-clicking on it and selecting Rename.
In the following figure, the Topic is called Micro (Figure 9 below):

Creating an Access Name in InTouch® to Communicate with the DASMBTCP Server
1.Launch InTouch WindowMaker™.
2.Select Configure/Access Names from the main menu.
The Modify Access Name dialog box appears:

3.Enter the above information for the Application Name field as it appears in Figure 10.
4.For the topic name, enter in the name of the topic you renamed in the Device Groups tab field (Figure 9, above) of the DASMBTCP server.
