    Chong Qing is a well-known historical cultural city. She’s over 3000 years old. In 583, Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty set up Yu Zhou, and that’s why people call Chong Qing “Yu”. In 11, Zhao Dun, son of Emperor Hyojong named the place “Chong Qing”, which means “double celebration”. Chong Qing is the capital city of ancient Ba, ancient Xia and provisional capital of the National Government during the anti-Japanese war. As a result, Chong Qing is also called “the capital city of three dynasties”.                        

Chongqing’s culture and history are closely linked. Chongqing is widely acknowledged as the largest industrial and economic center in southwestern China. And Chongqing City is a popular destination for travelers with its hilly slopes, rivers, night views and spicy food. Spreading across a number of low hills (average elevation of 400 meters), surrounded by mountains, and straddling the Yangtze River, Chongqing is a natural wonder.                              

The scenery of Chongqing is very beautiful. Some people prefer to call it “Fog City”. When the fog appears, the scenery of Chongqing is like a landscape painting. Some people prefer to call it “Mountain City”. When you come to the South Mountain you will find Chongqing is surrounded by many mountains. Some people are also obsessed with its night views. You will find bright lights everywhere at night.     

Besides beautiful scenes, there is more delicious food in Chongqing. The most famous food is hot pot. There are many foreign travelers who cant’t help trying it. There are millions of types of hot pot, like duck bole hot pot, ell hot pot, even ice hot pot. You can find one hot pot every 20 meters on the Chongqing streets. All of them have their unique taste, and they are all delicious. Besides hot pot, there are many other delicious foods, like spring chicken, hot and sour rice noodles, and so on. If you come to Chongqing, you have to taste its food here.

Chongqing is also known as the “Capital of Bridge” in China. There are more 500 bridges existing in Chongqing, such as: the Jialing River Bridge and no less than 30 bridges crossing the Yangtze River. Chongqing Caiyuanba Yangtze River Bridge is currently the nation's important line of communications and the largest urban light rail and long-span arch bridge. And more bridges are under construction .
