   Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.

   Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.

   Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spring back to dust.

   Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being’s heart the lure of wonder,the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the Infinite, so long are you young.

  When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at 80.

 人生匆匆，青春不是易逝的一段。青春应是一种永恒的心态。满脸红光，嘴唇红润，腿脚灵活，这些都不是青春的全部。真正的青春啊，它是一种坚强的意志，是一种想象力的高品位，是感情充沛饱满，是生命之泉的清澈常新。 

  青春意味着勇敢战胜怯懦，青春意味着进取战胜安逸，年月的轮回就一定导致衰老吗？要知道呵，老态龙钟是因为放弃了对真理的追求。 

  无情岁月的流逝，留下了深深的皱纹，而热忱的丧失，会在深处打下烙印。焦虑、恐惧、自卑，终会使心情沮丧，意志消亡。 

  60也罢，16也罢，每个人的心田都应保持着不泯的意志，去探索新鲜的事物，去追求人生乐趣。我们的心中都应有座无线电台，只要不断地接受来自人类和上帝的美感、希望、勇气和力量，我们就会永葆青春。倘若你收起天线，使自己的心灵蒙上玩世不恭的霜雪和悲观厌世的冰凌，即使你年方20，你已垂垂老矣；倘若你已经80高龄，临于辞世，若竖起天线去收听乐观进取的电波，你仍会青春焕发。

  Life's Journey （生命的旅程） 

Do not undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others.

It is because we are different that each of us is special.

Do not set your goals by what other people deem important.

Only you know what is best for you.

Do not take for granted the things closest to your heart.

Cling to them as you would your life, for without them, life is meaningless.

Do not let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past nor for the future.

By living your life one day at a time, you live all of the days of your life.

Do not give up when you still have something to give.

Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

Do not dismiss your dreams.

To be without dreams is to be without hope.

To be without hope is to be without purpose.

人生的旅程 

不要跟人攀比而妄自菲薄，我们的独特之处正在于与众不同．

不要按别人的标准设定目标,只有你自己才明白什么最合适.

不要对内心深处的东西漠然视之,对待它们要像性命一样看重,没有它们生活就没有意义.

不要沉迷往事或者只在意将来而让生命从指缝间流失.生活要一天天度过,生命的每一天才过充实. 

只要还能给予就不要轻易放弃.除非你停止努力,一切都没有真正终结.靠着脆弱的联系我们才聚在一起. 

不怕遭遇风险, 正是通过承担风险我们学会了勇敢.

不要说爱情难觅而拘之门外, 得到爱情的最快是奉献爱. 失去爱的最快方法是抓得太紧.守护爱的最佳方式是给它装上翅膀. 

不要摒弃梦想,没有梦想就没有希望 , 没有希望就没有目标.

不要匆匆忙忙过生活,忘记了曾经抵达何处, 又举步何处.生活不是一场赛跑,而是一次时时驻足观赏的旅行.

These Things Shall Never Die 这些美好不会消逝 

The pure.the bright,the beautiful,   一切纯洁的,辉煌的,美丽的, 

That stirred our hearts in youth,   强烈地震撼着我们年轻的心灵的, 

The impulses to wordless prayer,   推动着我们做无言的祷告的, 

The dreams of love and truth;   让我们梦想着爱与真理的; 

The longing after something's lost,   在失去后为之感到珍惜的, 

The spirit's yearning cry,   使灵魂深切地呼喊着的, 

The striving after better hopes-   为了更美好的梦想而奋斗着的- 

These things can never die.   这些美好不会消逝。 

The timid hand stretched forth to aid   羞怯地伸出援助的手， 

A brother in his need,   在你的弟兄需要的时候， 

A kindly word in grief's dark hour   伤恸、困难的时候，一句亲切的话 

That proves a friend indeed ;   就足以证明朋友的真心； 

The plea for mercy softly breathed,   轻声地乞求怜悯， 

When justice threatens nigh,   在审判临近的时候， 

The sorrow of a contrite heart-   懊悔的心有一种伤感--

Let nothing pass for every hand   在人间传递温情 

Must find some work to do ;   尽你所能地去做； 

Lose not a chance to waken love-   别错失去了唤醒爱的良机--

Be firm,and just ,and true;    为人要坚定，正直，忠诚； 

So shall a light that cannot fade   因此上方照耀着你的那道光芒 

Beam on thee from on high.    就不会消失。

Friends 朋友

A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart. 

真正的朋友是一个可以援手帮助并感动你心扉的人。 

There’s always going to be people that hurt you,so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around. 

别人常常伤害你，所以你该继续付出信任，并小心挑选你下次信任的人。 

Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you. 

在你想了解别人也想让别人了解你之前，先完善并了解自己。 

Remember:Whatever happens,happens for a reason. 

要记住：任何事情的发生都有因有起。 

How many people actually have 8 true friends?Hardly anyone I know.But some of us have all right friends and good friends. 

有多少人可以拥有八个真正的朋友？就我所知少之又少。但我们会有泛泛之交和好友。
