比较级:

一、形容词的比较级

　　1、形容词比较级在句子中的运用：两个事物或人的比较用比较级，比较级后面一般带有单词than。

比较级的句子结构通常是：

什么 + 动词be (am , is , are ) + 形容词比较级 + than（比）+ 什么 ,如：

I'm taller and heavier than you. （我比你更高和更重。）

An elephant is bigger than a tiger. （一只大象比一只老虎更大。）

比较级前面可以用much, a little，a few 来修饰表示程度。than后的人称代词用主格（口语中可用宾格）。

二、形容词比较级的形式变化

（一）规则变化

A． ① 一般情况在原级的词尾加-er ，如 tall - taller , strong - stronger ,

② 以e结尾的词，直接加-r ，如 fine - finer ,large —larger

③ 以“辅音字母加y”结尾的词，先改y为i再加-er，如funny - funnier

④重读闭音节，末尾只有一个元音字母和一个辅音字母的词，先双写这一辅音字母再加-er，

如big--bigger, thin--thinner ,hot–-hotter， sad--sadder，fat—fatter

B. 多音节词和部分双音节词在词前加 more 例如：

delicious - more delicious     beautiful--more beautiful， 

expensive--more expensive      interesting - more interesting 

（二）不规则形容词比较级： 

 good / well --better,      bad / badly—worse， 

many / much—more，     little—less      far—farther/further

三、形容词比较级的用法

1.两者比较时用形容词比较级，其结构为“…….比较级+than…”

例：She is taller than Lily. 

2.在两者之间选择“哪一个更……“时，用句型”which/who is+比较级…or…?

例：which sweater is cheaper ，the red one or the yellow one？

3.表示“两者之间最…….的一个”时，用“the+比较级”

例：Lucy is the taller of the twins。

4.表示“越……，越……”时，用“the+比较级，the+比较级”。

例：the more you eat，the fatter you will become。

5.表示“越来越……”时，用“比较级+and+比较级”，多音节和部分双音节词用“more and more+形容词原级”。

例：she grows more and more beautiful。

6.形容词前也可以用下列修饰词修饰：much, a little，far，a bit，a few，a lot，even，still，rather等。

例：it’s much colder today than yesterday。

☆注意☆     

1、比较的两者应该是互相对应的可比较的东西。

典型错误：My hair is longer than you.（我的头发比你更长。）

比较的两者是我的头发、你（整个人），那么比较的对象就没有可比性。

应该改为：My hair is longer than yours. 或My hair is longer than your hair.

2、如果比较的两者是一样的时候，我们会用 as…as…这个词组。如果是和…….不一样，我们会用not so /as…….as.

它的用法是：

什么+be+as+形容词原形+as+什么，意思是什么和什么一样……。如：

I'm as tall as you.（我和你一样高。）

My feet are as big as yours.（我的脚和你的一样大。）
