1.  Why do you want to learn a foreign language?

I learn English . First of all, English has become an international language. It’s more and more important . second, I can get more knowledge and information if I learn English well. At last, I can make friends with foreigners. 

2.   What should you do when you learn a foreign language?

    First, we should become interested in the foreign language because interest is the best teacher. Then we also should spend lots of time on it . we should read and listen as much as possible, such as reading newspapers and magazines, watching foreign films. We should speak English with our teachers ,our classmates and even with foreigners.. 

3.   What methods do you use to learn a foreign language?

I make sentence in order to remember new words and I read them many times.  I often watch American cartoons and listen to some English songs.This can improve my listening .I speak English with my teachers and friends. 

4   Is it easier for younger people to learn a foreign language than older people?

  yes , I think it’s easier for younger people to learn a foreign language, because younger people have better memory than older people. So they can remember English words more easily . 

5. What is your experience of learning English ?

I started to learn English when I was ____ years old. The first English school I went to  was called Jerry School. We sang English songs and played games in the class. 

I learned many words from them . then I studied New Concept English . 

6. How to learn english according to your experience ?

You 'd better learn as early as possible. When I was   years old, I started to learn english . It's important to practice a lot. 

7. Going abroad is a good way to learn a foreign language. What do you think about it?

   　Well, I think it is the best way to learn English because if we go abroad, we will have more chances  to practice our English. Everyone around us speaks English in our daily life. In such a good English speaking atmosphere, we will have a good sense of language besides, we can learn about the culture and custom of the foreign country. 

8. What materials and tools do I need to learn a language ?

There are all kinds of tools including language courses, dictionaries , grammar books and mp3 players. 

9  Do you learn a foreign language through watching movies/ reading books?

Yes. I do . And I think watching movies/ reading books is a good way for us to learn a foreign language. Because they are interesting . By  watching movies, we can improve our listening/ reading  ability , at the same time, we can learn about the foreign culture. 

10.Do you think vocabulary/ grammar is important for learning a foreign language?

yes, vocabulary is very important. Vocabulary is the basic of a language. If we can’t remember lots of words, we won’t use the language . 

Yes, grammar is important. Because grammar can help us understand complicated sentences . Grammar is good for the writing . 

11.Do you think we can learn English well if our grammar is not good enough?

No, I don’t think so. Because if we always make mistakes in grammar, maybe others will not understand us. Or sometimes, we may even speak Chin English, such as”Good good study, day day up”. Foreign people may even laugh at us.

12.  Do you think taking a language course is a good way to learn a foreign language?

Of course, if I take a language course, I can practice a lot.  My teacher can teach me some good methods. I can learn from and take with my classmates. 

13. Is it necessary to attend the extra classes to learn English?

Yes, I think so because I always feel that the English we learn from our public school is too easy. So we should attend some extra classes to increase our knowledge.

 But I think parents shouldn’t make us go to too may extra classes. Some interesting and useful ones are ok.

14.  Do you think it is a good way to learn a foreign language at an early age?

Yes, it is a good way to learn a foreign language at an early age. Because at an early age, we have better memory. It is easy for us to remember a new word or sentence of a foreign language.  

15.  How long do you take to learn a foreign language? When do you learn it. 

I have learned English for about _____years. And everyday I will spend about two  hours having classes or going over my lessons.  Sometimes when I go to school by car , I listen to some english songs and tapes. 

16.  Do you think a student should learn more than one kind of foreign language?

Yes, I do. Because I think learning a foreign language is just like opening a new window. Through it, you can watch a new world. If we have time, I suggest that we try to learn more than one kind of foreign language. 

17  Have you learned other foreign languages except English?

No, I am not, because I am very busy now. But if I have more time in my daily  life, I will try to learn other foreign languages, such as Japanese, French or German. 

 18.  Can your parents speak a foreign language?

Yes, my mother can speak English but not good at it . and she often practices speaking English now. 

19.  What do you parents think of you learning a foreign language?

My parents think that learning a foreign language is very important.  They encourage me to learn a foreign language.  When I make progress  in learning a foreign language, they always praise me and are always very happy. 

20.  Do you have to spend lots of money learning a foreign language?

Yes, I do. Because to learn a foreign language well, I need to buy many foreign language books , cartoons or DVDs. And sometimes I even need to find a foreign teacher to teach me. All these  cost me a lot of money. 

21. Who is your favourite English teacher?

My favorite English teacher is Miss Li in a training school. She is kind and beautiful. When I  have any questions , she always solve them and I can understand them clearly. She also tells us some jokes so our class is full of fun and laugher. 

22. Why do you take GESE

 When I get ready for the test, I can learn a lot from my teacher.  Whether I pass it or not, I will go on learning English . and I think when my English becomes better , I will become more interested in it. 

23. How do you surround yourself with English ?

You know surrounding is very important for us . I often listen to English songs and watch English movies on line .   I often talk with my friends and teachers in English . what’s more, I buy some short stories and magazines to read. I find the more English material I have around me , the faster I will learn English . 

 24.　Do you think Chinese will become the most popular language in the world?

　　I think maybe because China has become more and more powerful. If other countries want to do business with us, they have to communicate with us in Chinese. And you know, nowadays，there have already been many foreign people starting to learn Chinese. You can see many foreigners in the universities of Beijing. So I think maybe in the near future, Chinese may become the most popular language in the world.

25 .How do you learn oral English?

　　Well, I think to learn oral/spoken English very well, the most important things is to  practice as much as possible. So I try my best to speak English in my daily life. Besides, I always listen to English songs  , read English novels, watch English movies to enlarge my vocabulary and phrases. These are my methods to learn oral English.

26 Can you mention some countries where they speak English as their native language.

People in the USA, UK ,Canada, Australian speak English as their native language. In some other countries, people also speak English but it’s not their native language.
