合成高分子防水卷材的规格、外观质量、物理力学性能检验判定可按国标GB18173.1--2000的规定进行。施工现场抽样应根据部位遵守相应工程质量验收标准的规定。
合成高分子防水卷材具有以下特点。
(1)匀质性好:合成高分子防水卷材均采用工厂机械化生产,生产过程中能较好地控制产品质量;
(2)拉伸强度高:合成高分子防水卷材的拉伸强度都在3MPa以上,最高的拉伸强度可达10MPa左右,可以满足施工和应用的实际要求;

(4)抗撕裂强度高:合成高分子防水卷材的撕裂强度都在25KN/m以上;
(5)耐热性能好:合成高分子防水卷材在100°C以上的温度条件下,一般都不会流淌和产生集中性气泡;
(6)低温柔性好:一般都在-20°C以下,如三元乙丙橡胶防水卷材的低温柔性在-45°C以下,因此,高分子防水卷材在低温条件下使用,可提高防水层的耐久性,增强防水层的适应能力;
(7)耐腐蚀能力强:合成高分子防水卷材的耐臭氧、耐紫外线、耐气候等能力强,耐老化性能好,延长防水耐用年限;
(8)施工技术要求高:需熟练技术工人操作。与基层完全粘结困难;搭接缝多,易产生接缝粘结不善产生渗漏的问题,因此宜与涂料复合使用,以增强防水层的整体性,提高防水的可靠度;
(9)后期收缩大:大多数合成高分子防水卷材的热收缩和后期收缩均较大,常使卷材防水层产生较大内应力加速老化,或产生防水层被拉裂、搭接缝拉脱翘边等缺陷。
